Just another classic case of "Nick starts not being happy with a car but ends up loving it more than he expected!" 🤣

Fun fact about the purple colour at 7:40, VW decided that you could have that purple (and about 40 different heritage colours) on the Golf R if you paid an extra $3k or so. There were 3 different purples available, and the one that Forza put in the game appears to be Traffic Purple, of which only 4 examples exist across North America.

I come from a family that has driven many generations of the Golf, so this is really awesome to see!

Another flaw the R400 was a MK7 concept not for the mk7.5. People also really wanted the Golf R400 cause it was said to come with the motor out of the 2017 RS3 the 2.5L I5 that makes 400horsepower stock. That's why that motor was offered for the Golf R in this game

As a person who owns a mk7 golf R-line with centre exhausts, I'm gutted they fitted the bodykit addons for a mk7 on the mk7.5.

Here in Australia this is like a common hatchback car and I see different generations of golf pretty much every day being driven on the road like the GTI, Golf R, R32. Have been on the passenger seat of a 2021 GTI and it’s very comfy and crafted with good quality materials inside and they sound amazing whenever they take off at a traffic light.

Must admit thumbs up to turn 10, taking cars we thought would be terrible and making us fall in love with them by adding some proper official body mod options to them. The future of fh5 car customisation be looking good

They should’ve given us the 5L V10 or the 6L W12 from the continental for this car, all the VW group engines.

The developers got everything wrong with this car and it hurts. As an owner of a 2019 GTI, I was very happy to see them add this mk7.5. Golf R to the game but that’s where my excitement dies. Both body kits are for the previous mk7 Golf R that we already have in the game, they gave it the DSG sound that we get in the mk7 that’s already in the game even though both cars have standard 6-speed manual transmissions, and ofc they called it a 2021 model but Nick already said that. They did however get the hp right though. To the best of my knowledge, the 2019 Golf R did have 288hp but maybe I’m wrong. Still holding out hope they add a 2019 GTI to make use of that DSG sound and add some actual mk7.5 GTI/Golf R parts but after this I doubt it.

I am so happy they put a Mk7.5 Golf in this game. I've been waiting for it to happen ever since I got my '19 GTI and it makes me excited to whip it around this week.

Would've been nice if you could swap a VR6 engine in it. Also should've been th DSG version since the Golf 7 R (2014) that's already in the game has a manual.

If we're just gonna be getting fairly new cars that we already have then I would like to see the Chevy Bel-Air project X and the customizations that each owner had put through but I think that would be cool I mean it's one of the oldest project cars cars no it's a 50 year old car that's still kicking around and it still looks like it came out of the factory yesterday

The MK7.5, or facelift, actually came both with 310 and 300ps. They first came with 310ps, then with the introduction of OPF’s they came back down to 300ps

Also, the 2014 Golf R in the game(and the Golf R 400 in real life) has 3 doors, this new one has 5 doors. Its odd that they added the R 400 parts to the 5 door Golf 7.5 R.

About I5 engine. Before dieselgate happened VW had 5 cyl Golf R420 testing around the Ring. But dieselgate happened and they scrapped that project. But there are some 5 cyl swapped Mk7 around the world

The Golf R 2021 is the first car in forza horizon history to have a 5-Cylinder swap as an option. Absolutely loving it! IMHO it also is by far the best sounding one to date. And: With over 800HP tuned, also the most powerful one yet.

I also love Golf R in fact I have a similar car to Nick's Golf R32 it's also my first car. Audi A3 3.2 V6, it's a R32 with Audi logo.

Does anyone else notice when you drive this car with the Varis kit it seems slower then the R400 kit...even with the same tuning. I mean me and my brother did it last night, he was doing about 217mph and I was doing about 193mph not at top speed yet but I was like 20 car lengths ahead. PS we had the same upgrades and tuning but just different kits

To be honest the Golf R Mk8 is actually named as a 2022 car even tho it was released in the end of last year.

I hope the devepores see this and add the mk8, this mk7.5 is cool still but the mk8 has the edge.

I have the sedan GTI (aka GLI) 35th anniversary in pure gray and I want it in FH5 so badly! I always get jealous when people get to create their real life cars in game. I mean....I have an 89 240sx hatch but it is in its natural environment (on jack stands) and I don't have a driveway in FH5 to recreate that epitome of buyer's remorse.
