Forza really needs to update their turbo noises, when you let go of the acceleration the blow off sound is so awful, also the turbo spool needs to be fixed, I remember in forza horizon 3 you can actually hear the turbo spooling and it was so nice, hopefully they fix it soon
@FearlessCat exactly that too it's very irritating when you try to hear a supercharger whine but the transmission mixes up with it and ruins it and also the engine sound itself
@FearlessCat What would be a better compromise imo is maybe they could add more sports transmissions do that people can pick and choose, ya know? Honestly I love the straight cut gear sound to death but I agree on the part where sometimes the engine is what I simply wanna hear.
@FearlessCat lol no. We asked for more realistic and that’s what we got. If that’s what they hear while driving the car in real like then that’s what needs to be heard in Forza period.
10:42 -1997 was also the first year of the facelift for the sc. Plus for the US at least, 120 manual examples were made for that year. Point being, it’s the rarest lexus sc you can own
I’ve met Ralph Gilles a few times and one time he brought out his Viper ACR to a car meet and it was insane! A few of my friends had their engine bays and dash’s signed by him.
It's really hard to tell what is the best sounding car in this game since the sound modes are all bugged. Taking a promo shot of the car changes the sound. Home cinema speaker setup mode is stuck in some other mode until it is toggled from home cinema to another mode and back to home cinema while saving each every time you toggle. The accessibility screen reader affects the sound too. Every time I change cars I have to toggle both the speaker setup mode and screen reader THEN take a promo shot to get a proper surround mix. It's absolutely maddening. Yes. You read that right. Do it in this order every time you change cars. Set speaker setup to anything but home cinema. Save. Set it back to home cinema. Save. Then toggle the screen reader to off. Save. Go back into the game and take a promo shot. Tell me that the car doesn't sound different after doing so.
Fun Fact : you CAN actually take a “XX Program” (ex. 599XX or FXX ) car home. While you are definitely correct most people choose to leave the car with Ferrari so it will always be in tip top shape for approved track days, it is possible to have the car at your house/car housing facility if you do an excessive amount of paperwork stating that you only plan on displaying the car and if you like to move the car to a different spot in your garage you’re calling Ferrari for permissions such a hassle but the exhaust note is like no other car I’ve heard before.
Personally, I think that they should change the Ferrari FXX sound. In the game, it sounds like a higher pitched Enzo. It sounds different in real life.
I like that the race transmission has a sequential whine now but sometimes i want to tune the gears without my car sounding like a race car, I wish there was an option for that
What's with superchargers on pretty much every big liter car and turbos on pretty much all small liter cars? Cant hear much of the engine sounds when a supercharger is in the way
Other cars that sound very nice that I havent seen in these videos yet. - Ferrari 599XX (Much more brutal sounding than the normal 599) - Bad To The Blade Hot Wheels - Mercedes C63 AMG Coupé Black Series 2012 - Aston Martin Vulcan AMR with race exhaust
Why do the NA cars have an added whining sound? I know the turbo and superchaarged ones should have it but why the NA ones? I am just curious, because I wasn't expecting that.
The whine comes from the race trans, the gears are straight cut giving that ubertastic sound. Also Sequential transmissions do it they are straight cut
Straight cut gears have the whine that continues rising all the way through the gears. You can distinguish it from other noises because it keeps climbing as you accelerate, whereas RPMs or superchargers or whatever just drop back down and start again every time you change gear.
if you need a easy way to make money on forza buy out the 1993 jaguar xj220 its low value at the moment but it will rise since the stock is getting low
Bro i learned so much because i thought the Regera exhaust was in the middle at first in NFS it made no sense now it makes total sense.(btw this video was made on my birthday)
I noticed that the 850R stock sounds like the Audi Sport Quattro S1 in FH4. Race exhaust has the RS3 sound file. They really did the Volvo 850R bad. Those devs need to understand that same cylinders don't make same sound in most cases.
Dear lovers of engine sounds, don't you think the sound of the Aston Martin Valhalla suits the AMG One better? Compared to the sounds of the AMG One in real life.
I really hope they fix the BOV noises and turbo spooling in FM.. The BOV goes off when the turbos shouldn’t even be spooled (and i hate most of the BOV sounds to begin with) and you can’t really hear turbos spool on most cars which really annoys me.
If u haven't heard it already, try the lotus 3 eleven with race exhaust and drive it around the city. Amazing sound, and not what you'd expect from a toyota engine xD
LET US WIND WINDOWS DOWN in the next one. I believe cockpit sounds have ALMOST peaked now. But adding the little things matter. Make cars with variable cam shaft timing have that effect in game and let us wind down windows and hear the wind in the cockpit. All make up for a real experience. I'm expecting this in the next one.
Cockpit sounds in this game are absolutely phenomenal. But. yeah, I really want to be able to interact with the interior a LOT more. Playing GT7 in VR makes you realise just how cool it'd be if they made the interiors interactive. I would honestly be satisfied with a game that had car models of the quality of GT7, with fully interactive interiors, and an open world map...but only came with, say, 50 cars. If they were high enough quality and fully interactive, with very high quality audio files, I'd pay silly money for them as DLC. There's a lot of money to be made here
You can't make every car reach 300mph. There's only a handful that can. Unless you mean 300kmh, but even then there'll probably be cars that can't reach that speed, like some of the weirder cars.
This game is really awesome looking at the graphics, the smoothness, etc but i hate only the performance of the wheel, the steering has been completely turn but the tyre dont turn like it has to be turn. Why?
It's horrible. I have a steering wheel and pedals, and I can make the car's wheels turn from maximum angle to opposite maximum angle just by moving the wheel about 10 degrees to the right and then ten degrees to the left.
Sorry to be 'that' guy, but unfortunately the FXX doen't sound accurate at all. Just because it shares is bones with the Enzo, doesn't mean their engines are the same. It has a very particular sound, that I believe Forza pretty much nailed with the sound that the FXXK (the LaFerrari based one) had in FM6 and Horizon 3. If you look up the sound of the OG one on youtube, you'll see what I'm talking about,
Yes. But it's pot luck as to whether it sounds better or worse. The main thing that sports and especially race exhausts add is the crackles and pops when pulling off the throttle. That's the most distinctive thing about the upgrades. Other than that it's pretty hard to predict what kind of difference they make to the car's exhaust sounds. Sometimes they sound better, but too often they sound worse.
