Regarding my videos, they will simply be unlisted and still viewable in a public playlist. The future content will be centered around mostly indie and older racing games. Regarding the drama part of the video: Some people in the comp scene have already commented, but RU-vid buries negative comments and so they're not visible. I don't want to abuse my platform and they should at least be able to share their side of the story, so if anyone is interested, I could make a followup covering all their responses on my second channel. Regardless, no side will ever come to an agreement, and it's not possible to provide concrete proof for many of the arguments. 18:55, Competitve Trackmania had a scandal a bit ago where one of the top all-time players, Riolu, as well as a few others, were caught using slowdown hacks to set world records on thousands of maps (they were caught bc TM's replay system is actually functional despite TMNF being from 2008). Riolu's defense was essentially "I didn't cheat, and what are you going to do? Not believe me?" and assuming his name would stand against the clear evidence against him. Luckily, it did not.

Die-Hard (used to be) Halo fan here. What you described about the Development behind Forza 2023 is EXACTLY what happened with Halo Infinite during development. Now, Microsoft's 18 Month work contract wouldn't be bad for games with short development cycles (1-2 years or so), but when you're dealing with games with YEARS of development already behind their belt (i.e Halo Infinite, Starfield, Forza, etc). It really shows when the new guy has to take 6 months of his 18 contracted just to learn the tools, let alone learn what the previous people were working at. It's a practice that has made me lose my faith in Microsoft and I pray to God the same doesn't happen with the new Horizon 6 or Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. You made the right decision to leave the Forza community when there's so much better racing games coming out soon with more welcoming communities (GT7 to PC/PSVR, Assetto Corsa Evo, Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown, and so on).

Forza veteran here, completing every title since fm1. Switching to assetto corsa a few years ago, was the best move I made. I'll still play fm7 just for the multiplayer and having populated lobbies. AC and the upcoming AC Evo, will be more than enough.

It's not just misleading. The marketing flat out lied. They claimed they had to rescan the nordschleife and remake every track because the old models weren't detailed enough for the physics. The nordschleife, asside from the trackside detail, is the exact same mesh as FM5

By the way. A small brazillian studio by the name of Reiza Studios managed to get the license of some of the LMDh cars like the Cadillac and BMW and LeMans for their sim-racing title Automobilista 2. Not only they managed to do a very faithful recreation of these cars but also implement the most important aspect of them: the Hybrid system, which is STILL mysteriously absent in FM despite the hybrid system being almost 10 years old at this point and many other titles managing to replicate them. Makes you think

This game being 6 years in "development" is crazy to me. They literally recycled everything from the older Forza titles, added 3 new things and called it a new game. And the worst part is that FM is a current-gen exclusive but it doesn't take advantage of the extra processing power. FH5 on the Xbox Series X looks absolutely gorgeous, but FM manages to look worse than FM5, somehow. Like, how do you manage to make a current-gen game look so bad? They could've released the new FM on past gen too and it would've looked "fine". If the Xbox Series X looked like the trailers and pre-release footage, you could at least excuse it being a current-gen exclusve, but no, it looks like shit. And I don't really mind games being a platform for car advertisement, if it is done right. I would love to see something similar to Need for Speed Porsche, where you actually learn and go trough the history of the brand instead of the game just being blatant advertisement. But that's asking too much from lazy Forza devs who can't be bothered doing something actually cool.

Holy cow man, what a sad and corrupt community. Everything surrounding this once great franchise has turned shit. And for what? Terrible player numbers? Fake positive reviews? What a sad legacy to have. I really believe the forza era is over. Time for something to replace it now.

This puts into perspective how different GT's approach to its game was. GT Sport was, in fact, built from the ground up for next generation of consoles with very little of legacy stuff carried over (mostly the VGT car models). This explains why GTS had very little cars and tracks compared to previous entries (which reused a lot of cars from past generations) but it built a steady collection of cars and tracks that were built considering the 2, 3 games into the future and, lo and behold, they not only were reused in GT7 (as they were intended to) but improved upon as the physics and graphics engine were revamped for GT7 and new cars were added. Despite our feelings towards the direction of the single player portion of GT7, it's an amazing title and one that actually changed a lot of things from it's sibling game. You can see this if you play both titles back-to-back like I did.

Thanks for your work and investigation. Just so you know, I contacted UFCQC and another french customers right protection society to ask about a hypothetical lawsuit for false advertising. According to french law and european law and of course MS terms of services (which isn't much relevant considering the Kelsen Law structure we have here which put contract rights below national laws and then make everything in the ToS irrelevant for us) and see how it goes, either stuff happen or doesn't, but we'll see about that. Honestly when I saw the trailer and heard "built from the ground up" and then saw the same wing we've had from the beginning... ya I called BS. I also quit playing when the transparency mod/program was banned... that people used to make photo realistic vinyls... yet other things are still not fixed, patched or banned. Sigh. It's a shame to see you go, but I 100% understand why. I myself honestly don't know if I'll buy another FM game in the future at this rate... Guess I can only hope Solar Crown isn't a failure like TDU2...

Growing up on Forza Motorsport, literally starting on the first game when I was like 6, and seeing how the series has risen and fallen is sad. What a game, what a history, ruined by greed. A common occurance in the modern world of game development.

a note about braking, irl braking is very consistent for drivers as you basically train to brake as much as possible without locking wheels, so basically every real life race driver brakes to the limit of wheel lock nearly perfect (not all the time, but the consistency is up there)

I've been following your videos from before FH5 came out and I've always enjoyed your content, providing a bit of comfort when I was stressing at Uni. It's shit with everything that's happened with PTG and the witch-hunt against you from T10, and I can see it has taken a bit of a toll on you with the change in tone of videos you used to make. All these elitism for a game that barely follows actual motorsport traditions. These people are shooting themselves in the foot because us in the Assetto Corsa community are laughing at these pricks who think they're any better. If they like to stare at someone's gameplay to prove if they're cheating or not, why don't they just invest that time into playing a proper simulator like iRacing or rFactor? Either way, the game is going down the shitter. Horizon has the upper-hand now and would probably become Forza's identity.

People calling trigger locks cheating are essentially calling a good 25% of the competetive community cheating. a lot of people have it built into their gamepads, and nobody speaks out against it when they do it

Well, that's that, I guess. I have had a lot of controversies in the course of playing FH5, but nothing as big as yours. It's strange, but I do owe you a thank you for helping me realize that the Forza community is not exactly a good place to be around in. I avoided super competitive Forza racing becasue I want to avoid controversy, and even that isn't enough. I feel bad that you are being targeted in Forza since back in the FH4 days. From just playful ramming to actual drama to target harassment is insane, while actually provding useful in game information as well as good criticism to the game. Yet, other people are jealous/can't accept negavtive feedback and decided to silence you. In the end, I want to say thank you for improving my playing experience in FH5. I understand your decision to leave Forza behind, as it is clear that you have suffered from enough unjust hate, accusations, and bullying to you from this community. I hope that you're able to find something that you truly like to do, and move on in your life. I wish the best for you, and even though your Forza content will be gone soon, I'll definitely stick around for your future uploads. FM is worse than GT for gaming. The basic penalty mechanic is enough to set these 2 titles miles apart. In GT you have penalty serving each lap, thus forcing bad players to the back and not ruin further the good player's race. In FM it just adds a credit penalty which will be then added at the end, so you can have a bad player forcing good players off track in the top spots, sending those bad players way back to the back of the pack over and over, ruining their gaming, and that aggressive player to receive a moderate pentaly that may set them back maybe one place or two. People have literally stopped qualifying because of the murder fest in the first corners where top grid placed players get collected by the angry horde behind...and this doesn't stop because that angry mob continues to fight in the top places even after lap 2 or 3.

No other person has had more effect on my understanding of the game than you did in your videos. You have won me many Open championships. Awesome video as always. I'm just waiting for your video where you will talk about Rocket League - from awesome game - to most ruined game ever (maybe except Rainbow Six Siege). Considering in Rocket League you'll fly tru the ball, see how the opposition team hit the ball without touching it, in goal replay seeing that something completely different happened than in the game, the game sometimes does not take input from player, player get a random glitch at the best moments, it seems to me that the car is behaving uncontrollably sometimes, or the opponent has a faster boost than other player (I have literally had situations where they overtook me on the straight at the same speed, even if the opponent hit boost later than me) and I could continue.. (no, it's not a problem in our net or PC's [even our friend on Xbox said, that these things is happening to him, and he's very high rank] we test it). Well, here it is: Tickrate of servers vs client tickrate, and the f*cked up netservice to save Epic(fail)'s money. + Epic destroying theyre workers lives (literally they "forcing" them [if you don't want to lose your job of course..] to take 100h in 5 day's of working each week of work [same as fortnite, bcs it's theyre's money printer]). I literally remember the time, when the game was fuctioning for the last time.. two years ago.. but now, it is that unplayable (if you are trying to play it seriously, for ranks etc) that your only achivement is that you will reach the moment of not being angry on game, for letting you play properly without problem for a while.. And no one is talking about this. (Or it's just Central Europe problem [i didn't test it yet with someone])

ill be honest, ive been using AIO to fuck around in online lobby's, we are talking max acceleration and speedhacking around corners. I've been doing it for over 3 months and fuck all has happened to my account. The fact that I can ram some poor child off the track at 500 kph and nothing happens is such a glaring issue with whatever system they have going on behind the scenes its honestly astounding that these people host professional tournaments. To this day I've had 2 bans on my Xbox account both being in horizon, 1 for adding cars early and the other for setting ridiculous speeds on speedtraps, both of which lasted for less than a month each. Genuinely disgusted at the lack of moderation. Makes you think they really don't care about their games

As a former forza and current Gran Turismo fan, I’m disappointed in FM. I wanted forza to succeed to entice competition so both Sony and Microsoft can learn to improve and engage creative avenue with updates and future game releases But due to Turn 10 and Playground Games + Microsoft/ Xbox current gaming mindset and incompetence, it’s sad to see a studio fallen.

I am gonna miss your FH content, but it is completely understandable. Cant wait for your future videos.

1 thing i hate about the forza franchise both motorsport and horizon use total players in the ads, but they never use the current player base because it probably isnt even 1 million a day but they will say 15 million people play horizon 5 even though 14 million of those accounts are probably game pass users who played the game for 10-20 minutes and haven't touched it since

I remember getting my new PC and after having been a Sony loyalist sonce birth who wanted to play Forza for the longest time, I went to get FM7, found out they had removed it from the store, and then decided I no longer wanted to play Forza, because if im going to spend $70 on a game I want to have fun while doing it.

There is even drag tyres and drift suspension in the game. But no drifting or drag racing.

the thing THE MOST ANNOYED ME, is that when Forza 8 release, THEY BLOCKED me from installing or playing forza 7, this is really a dick move, i have a CD with the game and unninstalled briefly to make room for forza 6 (digital) witch worked fine, but when i re installed, i simply couldnt... this has nothing to do with internet connection OR disk state, because it was in perfect state...

I wish other major racing oriented RU-vidrs could bring this stuff up, so as to maybe fix some of the issues that plague the Forza series, and also the gaming industry as a whole. Obviously none of them ever will, as it would hurt their reputation with Turn 10 and that means less money for said content creators. It just feels like they're too afraid to speak against the developers/publishers, even though in the long run it would benefit them and the community as a whole. At least quite a few people are chiming in on the situation with The Crew, and the blatant theft of the 'online only' practice may be ended or at the very least altered in some way.

Its a shame that Forza Motorsport series went downhill. Almost feel like regretting getting a series S. Anyway I’ll wait until GT7 comes out on steam or hop on AMS2.

So I raced in the FM7 Enduro community you’ve brought up from 2020-2023. My team was usually a high B low A lobby team and we would spend hours perfecting tunes for the various enduros only to be getting gapped by over a second consistently per lap. There would also be people who were never anything special but then all of a sudden would be massively quicker. Yet anytime we tried these “Pro tunes” they were horrid to drive. With some of the stuff you brought up it makes me wander about stuff. Thanks for the video tho as it sums up how me and 95% of my team feel. Cheers!

Honestly, I know it's old, and EA pulled it off the store, but Project Cars 2 is a superior game. It has absolutely *glorious* graphics(some of the best I've seen in any sim title), very satisfying handling, and amazing throttle inputs. It's good enough that I can manage to *not* be shit on a controller. On top of that, PC2's replay system is a visual spectacle, and it shows everything-from accurate telemetry within the car, gaps, tire heat, etc. And, on top of that? You can turn off the HUD, racing lines, positions, telemetry, everything, for a more raw experience. I will never understand why EA ditched Slightlymad's pet project, because it's genuinely fucking incredible. I really hope that Ian Bell's new pet project, GTRevival, is as good as Project Cars 2, and hopefully, better.

i abandoned forza when 5 ended up being so soulless. i'm so sick of turn10, and this just sheds more light on things. i know you're unlisting and leaving forza behind, but your content is always really great in the time i've been subbed (few months i'd guess), so i really hope you find a new game and/or series to call home and keep posting, and i hope you find it soon.

I remember trying the new motorsport with my friends a couple months ago, i was super excited because i had just gotten the new xbox. I was so disappointed I can't explain it. I really don't race competitively like you to avoid people like who you mentioned in this video, but it was so bad. There were days we couldnt even get the online to work so we could race together. I used to love playing motorsport, but now I stick to horizon, and even then I play way less of that than i used to when, say horizon 3 was still being updated. I think that was the last one I had thousands of hours in. I will always have fond memories of the forza series, but I am at the point where not only are the quality of my favorite games are going off a cliff, but I have less and less time to play xbox. I think it will only be a couple of months until I also just give up and move on. Sad to think about, but we've all got to move on at some point, and I am just about ready to leave forza for good. I'll probably still occasionally play the games I already have, but I can't see myself buying any more forza titles let alone renewing my gamepass subscription thing every month anymore. I watched your videos for a couple years now I think, not sure when I first watched you. But farewell sp4.
