This fireside chat was informative!!

I’m an owner operator and my insurance has increased twice in one year. Insurance has increased across the country because of inflation. Freight liner dealerships charge over two hundred dollars an hour. Every shop has increased their prices to cope with high inflation. Fuel, maintenance and overhead expenses to run a truck has increased because of high inflation. It’s been two years and I haven’t made a profit from my trucking business. While brokers are under paying us truckers and owner operators. They are still making record breaking profits on our backs. Brokers don’t have expenses like a trucking company but they make more money on the load. Tires cost more fuel, insurance even the citations for the government cost more to factor in inflation.

They sound smart but they don’t know what they are talking about. They are confused them selves. We need the American economy to grow we need the GDP to grow above two percent per year. We need inflation to go down so consumers can afford to buy more stuff. It’s not just capacity exiting the market. That will improve the trucking and freight industry. We need smart people to run the country. Capacity exiting the market is not the solution.
