@@hanzdidit bought the fosi BT30D. Works beautifully with the C1 pro speakers and the LSR310s sub. Difficult to believe that such a tiny amp at such a reasonable price can yield such good sound!
Do you have the older BT30A which has a weaker 3116 chip? That would explain your 20wpc. The PRO version has a much more powerful 3255 chip and puts out 60wpc@8ohm, 100wpc@4ohm.
It would definitely be possible, but I am not sure how because I do not know which one you have. There are RCA jacks that you can connect outside components too and it should work fine.
These ants are not meant to be a surround sound system for your TV so there is no Center channel. I will look into it and see if I can find something that will work for a surround sound system. So far I have not seen anything available but I will keep looking. Thank you so much for watching.
No I have tested that on all of these and I have not had any feedback issues. If you don't have your positive and negative hooked up correctly sometimes that can cause that. The only other thing I could think of is if you have the volume cranked up all the way to the max it might create a small Hess and speakers..
I would like to pair this amp with Klipsch R41M. May be with a passive subwoofer in the future. Would you recommend bt30d for the mentioned setup, Please advise...thanks
Morning Hans. Thanks for ur insights on the BT30D, which I have ordered through Amazon. My question is..Can this devise be hooked onto the ADCOM power amp to drive the Klipsch 100watts each Tower model speakers and the Definitive Technology Sub (250 watts) together and get a rich Audiophilic sound...just like the normal integrated or stereo amp? I'm not much of a technological expert like most in here are, except that I love the old 80's & 90's music, apart from the country music that I listen a lot to. Could u please advice on this question that I have requested. Thank you and wishing u every success in the vedios that you are doing. Do have a lovely day ahead.
To be honest with you I'm not 100% sure. These many amps are supposed to act as the amp so you should not need an extra amplifier on your speakers. Your subwoofer is a different story if you have a powered subwoofer and just need the signal to go to the powered subwoofer than you connect an RCA to the subwoofer and you should get great results. Hopefully that was helpful I'm not really sure if I answer your question or not.
@@hanzdidit First of all thank u for ur quick reply Hans. Well, the speakers are not the book shelf kind, these are Tower models. The BT30d looks really puny in comparison to these large speakers and The Sub. Hence, it's kind of looks Awkward to acknowledge that this small Amp may really do the job of powering the Klipsch speakers. Since I already have an ADCOM (Model GFA - 2535) I was thinking if I should connect the BT30d through the Power Amp to get a richer sound effect.
Very new to this. Was considering adding a MTX Audio TNE212DV with this Amp. Would you know if this sub would work? Also would you happen to know if this sub uses RCA cables?
@@hanzdidit Hello Hanz. Do you know if the main speaker outputs auto adjust high pass with adjustment of the low pass subwoofer control??? I'm assuming the main speaker out's ALWAYS play full range signal, regardless of the subwoofer freq setting? Thx
Thanks for your videos. I'm new to audio. I'm considering the Fosi amp. But I don't know the name of the output plugs. My speakers accept post (like banana). Do I need banana plugs on the other end for the Fosi amp output? Do I need four? (two +- for left speakers, two +- for right) Thank you.
Yes you should definitely be able to connect your bare wire ends to this amp. I think you'll like it so far I have had a lot of luck with these. Thanks for watching.
Hanz, Do you know if this amp will reliably drive the Jamo 801s and a Jamo 808 sub? I'm looking to upgrade my girlfriends' turntable setup from an old Sony reciever that has seen better days and can't find the answer I'm looking for. General audio recommendations like impedance and wattage matching between the amp and speakers don't help out too much since Fosi lists such a wide range in the manual.
I think this would work just fine. the powered 801 and 808 subs just use a signal from the amp it is not actually driving the sub so it should work great. thanks for watching.
@@hanzdidit thank you for the response. I realize the 808 sub is powered and is just getting the signal into its own amp. The 801 bookshelf speakers aren't powered and the listed power handling is 60W/120W. Will the 50W per channel from the BT30D be enough to drive them? I'm new to this and don't really understand the numbers.
Thank you for your great video. May I ask you a question? Do you think that the stereo speakers are filtered to send the lower frequencies to the subwoofer only? My concern is when connecting small stereo speakers that are capable only for mids and highs, and should not receive bass frequencies. Can you control this withs the bass a treble knobs? Does these knobs actuate only for the stereo speakers? Thank you!
On most of these amps the base and the sub for the stereo speakers are separate from the subwoofer. You should be able to adjust the base in the travel and the sub separately. Hopefully this is helpful thank you for watching.
Turn down the bass knob for the L/R speakers, and adjust the sub frequency to slightly overlap the L/R bass. This way the sub takes on all the lowest frequencies and the L/R speakers take over for the high bass/mid/treble frequencies. If the L/R speaker frequency range is 120Hz - 20Khz you would want the sub knob to roll off its frequency at 120Hz and handle everything below 120Hz.
Great video, nice explained it. Question; I do have a pair of DCM KX 10 speakers (4 ohms) can I run my speakers and a powered sub with this BT-30A? Will be any power problems because speakers are 4 ohms?
Any sub will work, the best deals I have found on facebook market place or Craig's list. This one look good for $149.00 amzn.to/3ySVREu I hope this helps, thanks for watching.
My big question on the BT30D is whether the Sub Freq (subwoofer crossover frequency) adjustment is only a low pass crossover for the subwoofer low-level (RCA line level) and high-level (powered) outputs, or if it also serves as a high-pass filter for the main L/R high level (powered) outputs.
Yes there is a single adjustment just for the low pass / crossover for the subwoofer on this amp. There are separate trouble and bass adjustments for the speakers only that do not affect the subwoofer. Hopefully this is helpful thanks for watching.
@@hanzdidit Hanz, continuing from above question/response, so are you saying the sub freq control adjusts the low pass sub crossover frequency and, at the same time, adjusting any potential high pass to the main speaker high level terminals??? Or are those speaker connections always playing full range regardless of the sub freq setting? Thx for your input
@@brianchristopher4666 no he said the opposite. You can turn down the low frequency volume in the main speakers using the bass adjustment control only. The sub frequency cutoff frequency control controls only the sub channel out not the cutoff on the main speakers. I imagine that would require a much larger and more complicated board.
Yes you cannot screw up your speakers unless you put too many watts to them. These amps will not do that unless your speakers are rated below the water.
I am not sure i got the music from Envato and i was just sourcing 808 beets, there was a bunch of good music i found. Sorry i do not remember the name. Thanks for watching.
I got the BT30D Pro version yesterday. I connected a passive sub and speakers and it started running quite hot. does ur bt30D run very hot with speakers and sub connected?
Mine did not seem to run very hot but I have not tested under a load for a long period of time. It should be OK but he might try it for a few days and if it still seems to be getting hot contact the seller and see what they say. Thanks for watching my video and supporting my channel.
Thanks for ur replies. Well it's been a month now. Its still working fine. Maybe coz the design has no ventilation. So far no issues except for running hot. 🙄
This one does not come with a remote. There are a couple of them that I have ordered if you go to my playlist you can see which one does. Hopefully this video was helpful, thank you so much for watching.
I just got the Fosi Audio BT30D amp to power my speakers and sub. This doesn't have a DAC but I do have the FIIO Q3 headphone amp/DAC. I was going to use my TV Sony 48A9S aux out to Q3 to the BT30D. Is there anything wrong doing this? To power my speaker components and passive subwoofer?
I got one .the volume level is terrible. I turn it up past 3/4 and it's still not loud at all .tried it with different speakers and sub .the volume was terrible. I turned it up all the way and it didn't get any louder then it did at 3/4 .I am bummed to say the least .every review for this amp was good so I bought it .I think people get paid to give good reviews
I feel like maybe you just got a bad amp, so far I have been super impressed with all of the ones I have tried. I have them working in my garage and in my shop and have had a great experience with them so far. Sorry you got a bad one but maybe you should try another amp. Sorry if you feel deceived by these do you actually work. Thanks for watching.
I got this, checks a lot of boxes, and works great to fill my 15x20 foot room. The sub makes it work fantastically, but I have to turn the bass up a bit too much for it to get the real kick. Heck, it sounds great, with lots of volume, I just wish I could push that little bit extra without overdoing the bass. My speakers are rated at 75W 4 ohms, so I would like this but at 2x75W plus sub. Seems all these mini amps are 2x50. There are boards that do 2x80 or 2x100 plus sub, but I'm not really into building. My cables are 30-foot long cheap CCA 13 gauge, would getting better quality cable matter here?
Speaker wire does make a difference especially when you are trying to get a lot of volume. My suggestion would be to use a powered subwoofer that way you can adjust the amount of base that you're getting directly from the subwoofer and not relying on the amp alone. In the video I show the amp running the subwoofer which works great but if you're not getting enough base you will either need a larger subwoofer or a powered subwoofer. Maybe try new speaker wires first and see if it makes a difference. Thanks so much for watching and supporting my channel.
@@hanzdidit Thanks for your reply. I'm using a powered sub, and what I mean is - sometimes I want to get 'louder than max' (as my speakers have another 25W to spare), and then I all I can do is turn up sub volume on the BT30D (or up the crossover frequency), and then of course it can get too bass-heavy. I'll try getting some good cables and see if it makes any difference, as mine seem to be in the 'crap' category. After that I'll just wait around for a more powerful such product with matching features to appear.
