Come along with us as we look for Eocene epoch fossils of conifer and metasequoias.
This location is in Riverside State Park, so to park at this location you do need a Discover Pass, which is $10 a day or $30 a year. There is no way to purchase this at this trailhead location, so if you don't already have a pass, you can swing by the Bowl and Pitcher location here goo.gl/maps/ay... to get one.

@@AgateDad Here the winter limits me to the big river which means insulated hip waiters and a gem scoop cause you can't put your hands in. Speaking of which I need to make a new gem scoop.

Hello. My wife and eye, plus the 2 faithful canines, are going to take a hike down to Deep Creek this weekend. May I ask a question- all the material you and your missus were looking at, appeared to be on the ground. Is that what has fallen down from the walls? If so, would it not be better to try picking some stuff from said wall? Thanks for the time you put into these videos!

Hello! Yeah I would look at both, sometimes people will leave nice samples on the ground, other times you will need to head up and try to collection some fresh stuff yourself.
