We show you our methods for finding shark teeth as well as what type of spot to look for and where these ancient fossils can be found.
Florida spent millions of years under water during the Miocene Epoch. During that time period, the shallow seas in the area that is now the Gulf Coast of Florida thrived with abundant marine life. This was a perfect environment for sharks including the massive Megalodon. In a shark's lifetime they lose thousands of teeth, those teeth eventually fossilized and today we find them eroding from the fossil deposits near the shore.
