Fostering Meaningful Relationships with the Land Through Traditional Stewardship and Space Access 

Summer of 2023, the American Indian Cultural District brought the local American Indian community together at Crissy Field Center to discuss how they wish to shape the future of land use and climate resilience. We spoke with local American Indian and Alaskan Native community members who attended the event and discussed building meaningful relationships, expanding access to nature and open space, and the importance of supporting their vision for land use within our national parks.
