Filmed shortly after my return from the island paradise of Cuba, Max and I decide to tuck into the new Partagas Linea Maestra, which is to Partagas what Behike is to Cohiba
Linea Maestra is made with tobacco from the prestigious San Luis district of the Vuelta Abajo. It has a beautiful shiny box featuring lightning bolts and Zeus (trigger warning: this video contains one of the legendary Foulkes and Sons unboxing scenes). It has a highly practical foot band and standard band equipped with a hologram/discotheque light show. It features the fabled cabeza tumbada neither (piramide not parejo)
There are three sizes: Origen (46 ring gauge x 6 1/8”), Rito (52 x 6 5/8”), and the chunky Maestro, (56 x 5 ¼”); in the ancestral hovel we refer to Maestro as El Fatso (to my knowledge neither an official vitola de galera nor salida...yet).
Expect to encounter: malfunctioning lighters, dysfunctional father-son relationships, and barely functional use of the language of Milton and Shakepseare, confusion about the pronunciation of a well known racecrouse ( is it Ascot or Esk't?)...in other words business as usual.
We begin in the sombre mood question, whether we should go on broadcasting, and then decide that perhaps we will after all continue, but, given Max is somewhat strong reaction, probably unlikely to feature a Quai d'Ors
