Found A House That's Been Forgotten For 30 Years With Everything Left Behind since 1989 

@19:16 ... Interesting WW2 history! That was her card where she registered as a Conscientious Objector! For many years I used to collect WW2 Civilian items, as well as military stuff, and I never came across one of those cards. Neither have I ever seen one in any museum!!! A quick bit of online dabbling shows that at the outbreak of war, in 1939, her father Frank (born 27th April 1885) was a Methodist Minister, (hence Mary being a Conscientious Objector). Her mum was Florence M (born 27th May 1883). Mary Louise is registered in 1939, aged 23, her occupation is given as ‘Self Taught Student of Music’. Since this info is in the Government’s register that was taken in the run up to WW2 she, or her family, are basically sticking two fingers up to the bureaucrats! Good on her!! On 20th August 1963 Mary Louise married Adolf P Pollack in Penzance, Cornwall. It seems he came from the Germany/Russia and may possibly have been a Jewish displaced person, (because the Government, in 1963, were interested enough to go back to the 1939 records and update them… No doubt Cold War hysteria being used to keep another generation of fearful, job-hungry, ’Establishment perpetuating’ petty bureaucrats in a suit and tie with all the latest mod-cons!). Mary Lou lived off-grid (literally)… Those people in the comments posting that her family shouldn’t have let the place go to rack and ruin are missing the point. She lived free… People that worry about clothes and ornaments and taking over the ‘bricks and mortar wealth’ of a relative are the cause of this planet’s consumerist suffering! ............. As Gandhi said “There’s enough for everyone’s need… not enough for everyone’s greed”. Just enjoy the way nature is taking over this house. Just enjoy the video! Stop worrying about the transference of ‘wealth’. I suspect Mary Lou just loved her life, loved her books, loved the countryside and didn’t give a flying f*ck about money. She knew that when you are dead you are dead and your atoms simply go back into the heady mix of the Universe!

It’s a shame that vandals have gone in and trashed the place, I’m sure it was not left like that when they boarded it up. Sad that her children couldn’t take care of the house and maintain it and rent it out, there are so many people without a place to live to see these places sitting and rotting away is a crime.

I think you’re the first RU-vidr I’ve heard ask for feedback on a thumbs down. I gave this a thumbs up, but it’s refreshing to hear someone truly want to improve his/her channel.

It's a shame that the family did not remove personal items and clean out the house and either sell it or rent it to another family. Someone else could have been living in it for the last 30 years instead of it being left to rot and decay.

people think this can never happen to them, life goes on forever, one day people will be doing the same to your stuff, its a true saying you cant take it with you, one you still can be kind to others, and help older neighbours who need it, might surprise you how little acts of human kindness can bring such joy to lonely people.

Good video. It left me reflecting on my own life and legacy of “things” and precious memories. Although, when I reflect this back to myself, this feels like an invasion of privacy. You should use a mask because of the mold. Since you explore many abandoned houses your exposing yourself to a lot of bad stuff that will effect you later in life so please take care of yourself.

If the house could be fixed up , I would take all that junk outside and burn what can be burned and burry the rest. I would by some paint and paint the inside of the house and move my own stuff in there and live out there all by myself and not be bothered by anyone for the rest of my life ...

I find it so sad that this person's life and possessions were simply abandoned, their memories of no significance to remaining family...if any. Nobody cared 😢😢 Do you not ever collect the really personal items ie..photos, certificates, letters...to try and contact remaining family ?

The lady who lived her was alone in the middle of the woods I don’t know how she survived I get scared of the dark sometimes but the sad part is no one knew when she died she was almost forgotten and was left.

That place was so trashed. Sad what happens to houses. when people pass away. Family members have their own places. I bet it was a very cozy lovely home. When it was lived in by the woman. Thank you guys for sharing your video. One suggestion well actually two. Keep plastic bags to go over your shoes. For protection and wear disposable gloves. You don't know what you might catch. I watched this one before and thought that quilt was something I would have saved, had I been a relative. Sad to say, but my Mother quilted some, and my brother tossed them without anyone knowing. this place needs more than a tidy up its beyond that point its too wet and moldy and gross and I have OCD and I would not touch it without a deep clean. I have to have a hazmat suit and respirator and gloves first of all. black mold white mold spores on the books.
