My girlfriend daughter has been missing presumed drown for over 2 yrs. The police almost did nothing to find her. You can find the story under Astoria missing woman, she is biracial and has asperger's. There is evidence that she was kidnapped. Wow! That's an awesome find! My brother restored one of these from the ground up in the UK about 25 years ago. They were a very well built car, a combination of luxury and performance. I wonder how many cars these days would last as long in the water? Also, I bet the trunk would just disintegrate with just one pull of the crowbar on the generic garbage from today.

I love jaguars, but never owned any. Before I was born, my dad owned a jaguar from a famous person, but sold it because he was always repairing it. My dad was an excellent mechanic. Im a car lover. Ooh tools, right up my alley. Keep up your excellent work. May g-d bless you and your family always.

Just found this channel and I love it! However, it KILLS me not knowing the history of all these cars. Who’s was it? How long has it been down there? Why is it there? I’m sure the majority is probably going to be insurance claims but still.

Thanks for finding our channel! Usually the cars we find are either stolen or insurance fraud. The police don't give us much information on the cars, they don't want to be involved unless we find a body.

That's what makes these sometimes hard to watch. The 'yank,' 'rip' and total mauling of these vehicles is hard to take. The 1973 Mustang was a pretty bad one. Almost tore the car in half dragging it over a rock. Any salvageable parts were destroyed by over-the-top methods. These aren't the guys to hire for a delicate removal job. Not by a long haul.

That dash is standard. All wood. AND its a manual. (Or "stick" as the Americans say) Jaguar MK2 in a manual is a rare and desirable car. Just the manual conversion gear (geabox, pedal box, clutch assembly etc) would be worth a bit and certainly would cover the cost of recovery.

I worked on those cars as an apprentice mechanic and I never ever saw an automatic in five years. The whole idea of the car was it was a sports car and a drivers car, not a lazy drivers car.

We have a few lakes with a few mysteries in our town. We have a legend of a train that disappeared into one lake and other local divers have found cars in the other that the police have done nothing about. We also had an elderly gentleman go missing and has never been found.

Good effort getting it out of the water way. Divers did a similiar thing here in Canberra in Lake Burley Griffin. And yes the car did contain a body! Perhaps gift it to the Jaguar car club for concour display! Perhaps not.

If this was the UK a body in the car would be a high probability as in the 60's they were the go to car for armed robbery getaway car, big enough for four big guys guns and swag, especially the 3.8, later the Ford Zephyr Consuls and Zodiacs, Later the Ford Granda and Consul the Granad was the Sweeney favourite of which I went through three beforre going over to the XJ6 XJ6 Coupe and Daimler double 6 V12, pass anything but a gas station max I ever got was 11 to the gallon.

@Tanner Duppong Yes MK 1/2 MK9 and ten, motorway used XJ6's for a while. But they had the smaller engined 2.4 sloth's mainly only traffic and special branch had the 3.8 manual.

Well one thing is for sure on that Jag, the Lucas electrics failed before it ever hit the water. Glad it wasn't a mid sixties XKE, I would have to look away. Had a friend a long time ago with a 283 Chevy stuffed into one of these MK2's. Loved it. Jag You Are class with American V8 rumble!

@@skrutinizr9372 , I have to admit the E- Type's are my favorite body style of all cars and secretly I would love to own one my father collected old mgs , he had a 58 mga and a 52 mgtd which my younger brother now owns and my other brother has a collection of mgbs so I'm no stranger to the British auto my mother also drove an Austin . myself I prefer driving my 74 cj5 which I've owned since 76 and is a pretty simple machine and I also prefer cold beer over warm beer but my relatives in the UK 🇬🇧 would probably disagree. I wonder what and e type body would look like on a jeep chassis 😲

there's nothing left of that car to salvage. Those were very expensive cars in the day, quite mysterious that the owner didn't report it the day/night it went into the drink. Perhaps it was a suicide and the body simply decayed over 30- 50 years.

Saw the tree next to the car..Have you all thought of old growth wood/tree salvaging?? I know it doesn’t have the same affect in the water as a car but you can save a new living tree with a tree that either was lost to weather or a chainsaw from years past. Saving the environment in another way :)
