I was diagnosed with Stargardt's disease about 40 years ago and is not so bad that I can no longer drive but do ok riding a bicycle. 2 years ago I had cataract surgery making things go from bad to worse by my no longer being able to read small print and having to use the camera in my phone or iPad to be able tore read the text. I wish this device had been around for testing 2 years ago. I would have applied to be one of the test subjects.

Thanks Sam, great video and great info. I am pretty exited to see released what Matt from Microsoft is working on... It seems like the first feature he presented is a kind of integration of "x-mouse" freeware directly in windows 11. Do you know for roughly when they plan to release this feature for general users?

Hey Anthony! Sorry for the late reply. The feature I was using is with a Microsoft mouse with an optional programable button on the side. I use free software for the keyboards/mice called Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard. Once installed you can customize the button configuration to almost anything but for me, I have mine set to Magnifier. The Accessibility features demo'd in PowerPoint are available now in Current Channel if using it at home and if at work I would suggest Monthly Enterprise Channel. If you have any questions or concerns find me on Twitter and I would be happy to help! I think Sam is planning to do some deep dives into Microsoft Accessibility features in the near future as well!

Thank you @@mattphilipenko88 for your answer, much appreciated. I come to test it, to download and install the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard. It works but has some downside. 1- works only for Microsoft mouse (chance I have one at home for testing ;) ) 2- The config of the magnifier is limited on the swipe of the left side button. For ergonomically reason I set up the magnifier on the tilt right/left of the wheel mouse button. It is really convenient. X-Mouse is a much more powerful software to reconfigure a mouse, and it works on any mouse (having of course the required button) The following video from Sam should really gain in visibility. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hC58JH7QaSs.html

My mother suffers from both macular degeneration and glaucoma. She can barely see anything. Is there anything available to help someone like her?

Absolutely! Remember that there are options for people who are totally blind. I would recommend contacting a Low Vision center to have your mom sit down with someone for an evaluation. That way they can decide what might work best for her.
