I am a 65 yr old woman with oily combo skin. Everyday I blot and re-powder by mid day at the office. I heard Mel Thompson talking about Mac Prep & Prime Skin Refined Zone Treatment. I finally got some. I use it in my T Zone over my primer. For the last 6 days I have had no oily T Zone at all. It is a miracle. No kidding. I look like a regular person all day. Not an oily kid by mid day. Just a suggestion. But it has become my Holy Grail now. 💜

Omg I am SO happy you love this too! It would have been really bad if you hated it after I just called it possibly the best foundation for mature skin in my latest video! I was so shocked that even with my oily skin it still worked great. I do need to use a primer and set with powder but wow, the fact that it stayed on my skin and looked so natural is so impressive. I agree about the poor shade range- 20 is in no way enough!

I just started using Estée Lauder Double Wear. I have not tried Futurist. What I found is it is very difficult to find the right color for my skin. I use a damp sponge to keep it a little thin. The coverage is awesome. Light without looking heavy. It literally does not melt off the entire day. I think there is a makeup remover for it. It is difficult to remove. It stays perfect all day. I am not allergic to it around my eyes. I will try Futurist next. Finally, I found the perfect foundation. I am excited to try Futurist with a bit of glow. Double Wear is a bit flat.

Perricone MD instant blur is awesome. Apply after makeup with the sponge pressing and rolling. Doesn't dry, just gets rid of texture. I'm 45, so I don't know if it will apply. After smoking for 30 years. I'm not looking bad. I cleanse my skin with Bioderma, Erno lazlo, Colbert MD discs, Sepai de puff, counter-clockwise serum, flawless spf 50, Byredo hydrating spray. Of course Estee Lauder double wear and Tom Ford ravenous lipstick with mascara

I'm 56 and am a longtime Double Wear devotee, but the last couple of months I've noticed my chin and around my mouth has become much drier, and it looked patchy in those areas. (I've been using Curology--I wonder if that's why?) I bought the Futurist foundation and I love it! I've never cared for luminous foundation and I thought it would be too dewy for me (my skin is exactly like yours--oily in t-zone, dry around mouth, normal everywhere else), but it's perfect. I have large pores on my cheeks and noticeable ones on my chin and forehead, but this doesn't accentuate them at all. The primer I like with it is First Aid Beauty Hello FAB, with some Smashbox Photo Finish on my nose and cheeks. I haven't even tried it without primer but will tomorrow. I actually like the application best with the Blendiful, but I use a sponge when I'm in a hurry. Brushes always look streaky and dry on me, every time, with any foundation. Funny thing--I haven't even noticed a fragrance! I'll have to go upstairs and smell it. Angie, I love how you show everything up close in natural light and we can see your "real" skin. You are so gorgeous and it makes the rest of us realize it's normal to have pores! (I still do not see these wrinkles you claim to have though). You are by far the best beauty RU-vidr there is. I've been waiting for you to review this!

You are 62???? You do not look it at all! Not that there's anything wrong with 62, mind you. And I live in Atlanta so that's great to know, It hasn't been hot and humid here since I bought it but in the late spring through fall it's insufferable!

Hi Angie, I’m an EL double wear lover but I’m 54 and noticed it feeling a bit drying to me in winter. I typically have combo skin. I stumbled upon this and had to give it a try. I didn’t have that overly luminous look like you did before powdering-my look was simply fresh, healthy and lit from within. My skin looked gorgeous and smooth from the get go. I placed it over my Missha light beige bb cream and my oh my is it amazing! I used the dessert beige. You must must must try this combo. I cannot stop using it. Btw...I used a brush to put it on. Haven’t tried a sponge as I can’t imagine it turning out any better. After all of my makeup is done, I lightly powder my t-zone with Laura Mercier loose powder, spray with Mac fix plus and I’m ready for the day. It takes me from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 pm. So happy!

It looks beautiful, it didn't oxygenate and darken. The second day by 5 hours it was slightly shiny , but still kept it's nude color and didn't blotch. very good.

Angie, I just love you! I am subscribed to Elle, Risa, and Dominique Sasche but you are the most REAL. I can wear your makeup looks to the grocery store and not scare anyone. Thank you for that! ❤️ You are also the only one who seems to have the same eye/skin issues I do. The 50s are so much different than the 40s! (Although I am younger, you look way better than me.) I didn’t need much makeup when I was younger and unfortunately didn’t take care of my skin, so it can be overwhelming to take in a lot of info at once. I just got this yesterday and used it today and I have to say this is the best shade match for my extremely cool, pink toned skin….almost everything else is still way too yellow. I’m super impressed and it looks lovely. I did set it with Laura Mercier setting powder because it’s super glowy and although it’s still very glowy with the powder, I think it will stay on better. The fragrance does not bother me. I usually use Mac Face and Body Foundation for lighter coverage but this foundation has such a nice finish! My new favorite! 😀

I dropped in Dillards today to pick up a sample and tried 3 shades none of them are perfect and I completely agree with you about the shade selections. So odd for Estée to launch a new product and not have the shade selection down. Hopefully one of the two I brought home will work, like you I don’t want to buy and then blend 2 shades to find a match. Thanks for the review Angie.

You've convinced me to give this another shot. I purchased this foundation about two weeks ago and wore it twice. I'm 41 years-old with very dry skin. I have texture and melasma/freckles. The radiance drove me insane because it highlighted my texture near my cheeks. Rarely do I apply powder because it just clings to the dry areas as the day goes on. I am going to try and use a difference SPF under this and add my Juice Beauty oil primer AND add a tiny bit of powder. FINGERS CROSSED!!!!! Another great reaview. Thank you!

I just got this. I ordered the lightest coolest shade, 2C3, Fresca, because the lighter colors were N or W. I definitely cannot wear anything warm or even neutral. I can't afford to buy this in multiple colors. I think the Fresca looks pretty good on me, though really, I just put it on today. I looked at the ingredients... wow, EL, you rock! Ecamsule is Mexoryl SX, a photostable UVA filter developed by L'Oreal/La Roche Posay. I love this foundation just for that! I put it on with a brush, and really, I use foundation just to conceal some broken blood vessels and generalized blotchy redness on my face. I do not apply it to my forehead. It is kind of like islands of foundation around my face. It will take a few days seeing myself in various lighting situations to figure out if I can pull off this Fresca color. My standard EL color is 1C1 Cool Bone. I do like that this foundation quite effectively hid some of my issues.

Angie thank you for this video. I went and got myself a sample of the futurist hydra rescue foundation and oh my word!!!!!😍😍😍 it is absolutely fantastic, i have the Double wear, La Mer foundation, the Stilla hide and chic, and th Mac face and body,and boy oh bot the Futurist hits it out of the park for me.. there is absolutely no settling into wrinkles, no fading, feels light weight and it looks as if I have no pores😍 and it is long lasting. I WILL be going to buy myself a tube of it this comming week. I absolutely love it. Defenatly the best foundation I have ever tried.❤❤

Me too, my mom wore it and started buying it for me when I was 15. I didn't realize at the time how lucky I was to have all Estee Lauder products at that age when my friends were wearing Maybelline and Cover Girl. I have so much loyalty to Estee Lauder it took me forever to buy any product that wasn't EL! Now at 56 I just use the foundation, eye cream, Advanced Night Repair, and sometimes I wear Beautiful. My mother has been gone for 12 years and I still have her last bottle of Youth Dew to remember her by. I love passing someone in a store or somewhere and smelling that and thinking of her.

I was super excited to see this. I, too, was disappointed though about fragrance. However I ran and got it. Got my same shade I wear in DoubleWear, Fresco. I loved it going on and thought it looked great! I thought I’d finally found my new HG. You see, I’m 76 years old and my skin has been changing in the last year. None of the make up I had been using forever was working for me any longer. Folks tell me I have beautiful skin and don’t look near my age and I was all set to love this one. But, boy was I disappointed. It clung to my dry patches and was a “hot mess” around my mouth and nose within a couple of hours. By 6 hours it all looked horrible! I tried it for about a week using everything I had with it but it didn’t change. On the recommendation of a friend, I decided to try NYX Born To Glow. So far it is waaay out performing anything else I’ve tried. I think I may have it finally. Just keeping my fingers crossed!

Would love to see a complete, real-time start to finish morning cleansing, serums, sunscreen, and makeup. I think the most challenging part is the wait (20 minutes) between applying sunscreen and then makeup. Also, agree with other viewers that fragrance is a turnoff for any foundation. Many of us with sensitive skin cannot handle it. You are the very best RU-vidr and congratulations on your continued success.

Angie, I can never discern whether or not you like or dislike your "yellowy" kitchen light as you call it, but you surely you know this light is supposed to be very flattering... It's the outdoor light which can be harsh, though you look wonderful outside. Fluorescent light, which I have quite a bit of in my house, is NOT kind, but I don't mind to use it while getting ready because I have to be most careful. *Nice review* and nice new foundation 👍🏼☺☮ too!!

Can I just say how amazing your beautiful skin is, I can’t get over your age, you look just stunning. You don’t even need Botox in your forehead. Not one line under your eyes, how?! As for this makeup, I love the new glow in EL foundations I will miss The Illuminater primer, I wish EL Camouflage had some shimmer. I’ll def have to try this one ❤️

Janet I’m very sensitive to chemical sunscreen I’ve learned to read labels and it’s sooooo hard to find mineral. You want to look for Titanium Dioxide and Zinc 5-10% SkinMedica makes a great sunscreen and eye with sunscreen I think it’s called 3 in 1 eye cream.

I'll sample if I'm willing to gamble (like I did with Angie's holy frail Chanel), but generally, chemical sunscreens give me a chemical burn. I love the skinceuticals tinted mineral and elta MD elements 44.

Angie, thanks for reviewing this. I just bought it and have been using it with primers with mixed results. After watching your video, I went without primer and the results were great! So interesting...... but thank you for all the ways you tried it.

So glad you love this too. I wear it in the color Desert Beige. I apply a very small amount and it still covers and gives that beautiful glowing finish. I just powder my t zone and I have dry skin and it wears great!!!

I did get a sample of this to try from Ulta today, so I'm looking forward to wearing it. For the first time today, I tried NYX Born to Glow. At first application, I thought I might have picked the wrong color (6.5 Nude), but I was very impressed with the look I achieved from this foundation once I finished my routine. I want to try different primers under the foundation, and maybe even misting my fav spray, All Nighter, over my primer before foundation application. My foundation always seems to disappear so I work at keeping it on longer on my mature skin. When I asked a sales person for help in picking an Estee Lauder shade, I told her what I was wearing and thought the color choice may have been off. In fact, she said she thought the foundation looked very pretty, and even asked me what I thought was off about the color. I shrugged and said if it looks good to you, I guess it must be okay. I have to admit, it looked pretty good in the mirror under their lights! I hope you try the NYX and give us your impression of this foundation. It comes in 45 shades, and there are testers available to try.

So happy to see this! I love doublewear but I absolutely HATE the packaging! I think Estee Lauder has gotten a ton of feedback about the glass bottle and the no-pump. Everyone will be switching to this one!! Thanks Angie.

I have very dry skin and been using this for about a week. I'm not nearly as flaky by the end of day with this as other foundations so am happy! My shade is fresca and is a decent match.

Oh my gosh, I just love watching your reviews and get the warm fuzzies when I see a new video has been posted - I can take a mental break from life for a few and enjoy something “educational” that’s fun😆 I’ve been enjoying a lot of your videos for several years now. You have been so helpful in resolving some of my aging skin makeup dilemmas. I want to say thank you for doing all the searching and thorough reviews! I just bought this foundation and love it too. And thanks for being so good about putting links to all the things you’re wearing and such. Though, I hate to ask you this, but it’s just too pretty not to ...your nail polish on the first day? It’s so pretty and just the color Ive been searching for. Looks like a purple brownish color in the video ...I love it! I tried searching the comments to see if you answered anyone else who may have asked, but there’s so many and I didn’t see anything in the ones I read. You’re adorable and I love your channel!

I've been a lauder user for 30 years. Used the old futurist until it was discontinued. Am looking forward to trying this. I live on the plains, windy desert dry...this would be fantastic for winter.

I sampled this on my face in an Ulta store and it does have a weird fragrance. Not as perfumey as some, but kind of an earthy-fruity smell that seemed to hang around. I got one surface pimple on the side of my face I applied it but I still want to try it again to see if the pimple was a fluke. On the other side I put the latest version of It Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation Matte (Ulta’s exclusive). Most of the previous versions of their CC cream have citrus oils and don’t sit well on my skin, but this one wore nicely and I didn’t see citrus oils in the ingredient list. The two foundations wore similarly so I’m probably gonna choose the It over the Estée Lauder.

Hey Angie,I really wanted to try this and after I saw your review I decided to buy. Nordstrom had 25% off! I received it Mar 26th. I found a perfect match in Dawn. I really love it! Very similar to L'oreal true match super blendable but more hydrating . I wasn't bothered by the fragrance and I'm pretty sensitive to scent. I like the higher SPF. For the price point I'll probably stay with L'oreal but this is a great foundation! Have a great evening and stay safe.

I love this foundation! I wore the EL Futurist foundation for years when it was a liquid! It was by far my "holy grail" back then and the shade range was a lot better! I am thrilled with this one and hope they don't discontinue it like the other one.I will be buying back ups with this one as I did the liquid one! Thank you so much for the review and may I say it looked beautiful on your skin!! I think it even has the Chanel Velvet in second place!

wow it actually looks good in natural light! I usually end up hating makeup in natural light and feel horrified! but that looks great! I love it doesnt settle too much in fine lines and pores. I love how dewy it looks! not so matte.

This review is just what I needed tonight 👍 Over the holidays I went to the Chanel counter @ Nordstrom to repurchase my Chanel Vitalumiere Perfection Lumiere Velvet. During a casual chit chat the Chanel rep informed me Chanel recently changed the formula. I was happy about that, but I decided to repurchase another bottle anyways. Before I left the counter I asked the rep to apply the new formula on my skin. She did. As I walked about the mall, I checked the wear in the mirror. I could see the product settling into lines after an hour! I was so disappointed. I matched right back to the Chanel counter and returned it. Thanks for this review, Angie. Your foundation looks amazing! I'm heading to the mall on Monday to pick up a tube of Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue. I cannot wait to try it out.

I’m 52 and I was praying that it would work. I was scared because of the fragrance, but it didn’t break me out but like you I had to use two different shades. I had two samples. It is a really beautiful foundation unfortunately I don’t love it enough to buy two different shades to make it work.

I just bought the double wear 24hr one today @ Macy’s & it works WONDERFULL for me I have a really dry skin so I’m in love with this product verry moisturizing to my face I also got their creams for dry skin for night & day so I’m looking forward on using it tonight & hopefully they will work as well

I have to say that the fragrance is not that strong, not even that noticeable to me. This foundation is my new holy grail! I LOVE this foundation. I’m 61 and have very dry skin. This foundation is amazing! Using 3n1! So glad I saw your video! Love watching you Angie!

I purchased this and I also really love the way it looks and the wear is amazing. I did only buy one shade and it will work until summer. I was really glad to see your review because of the sunscreen I apply before all of my makeup and it was great to see no primer needed for long wear. That saves time & money. Thanks 🙏🏻

Wow!!! I cant believe this one inched out your Chanel!!! I wear the Covergirl Matte Made..which I do like, especially the price point. I'm still looking for a BB/CC cream for the weekends just to even out skin a little. I love the L'Oreal, but it turns just a little too orange on me. :( I'll use it up but I won't repurchase.
