Thanks for another very detailed review. I also waited until the prices had fallen to an acceptable level. I only paid USD 37.52 for the #6 nib had to wait 3 months and am very happy with the fine nib. It didn't even need any refinishing. I am very price-conscious and have the feeling that there are some dealers on a-l-i-x who are successfully exploiting the far too high western price level. In my book It is not the manufacturers who are driving up prices, just some dealers, because Chinese retail prices are always lower. My Chinese contact states the prices he pays in China in his videos and I have seen prices that were initially up to 50% higher than Chinese retail prices until more dealers got hold of the goods and the prices fell accordingly.
I've watched a number of reviews of this pen, but your review is the best. For instance, I didn't know that the pen has a brass piston. I am impressed. Here, the pen is $55.63 USD from Amazon. There is the option of EF,F,and M nibs, both number 6 and 8 sizes. That is a lot to pay for a Chinese pen. The only Chinese made pens that I have bought; in the price range; were the Hongdian D5 and the Asvine V200. I would like to see more color options; blue? Have you reviewed the Majohn A2?
Thank you ! agree with you, 50$/€ is a true boundary for chinese pens or it is needed that this pen proposes something special. This pen P139 is I believe one of the rare majohn pen which is worth ~50/55 (with the #8 nib). For the color, yes more colors would be nice: you make me think I should have mentioned it in dislikes :-). For the A2, unhappily I have not done any review of this one, the only video with almost all capless pen is this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mBD0hY6oKVw.html but no A2 and no subtitles. I explain in this video why I had not the A2: seems plasticky on photos. But since I've got it at a very low price, and the reason to get it over the A1 is the weight. At the end, they are OK at this price and it extends the A1 offer to a lighter pen.
