I really enjoy your your videos. The language on the weekly planner is Hungarian. Good luck from Budapest!

Good video. I came back to fountain pens after a life time. So the combination of fountain pens, inks and journals was resumed and escalated through Covid. I had the urge to do this and I'll never go back. Plus I've spent so much cash. Ha. I have amassed 30 pens, countless inks and journals. So world events, daily chores and my piano students are mentioned the most in my writing. I am lucky to have 45 piano students who I teach from my home studio and they are all aware of my fascination with fountain pens. They write their own piano diary entries with my fountain pen. (I dictate). So slowly they are being inspired (hopefully) to use them. I use a different colour and pen for each day. Monday is turquoise, Tuesday is Aussie Gold, Wednesday is Pelikan Brown and Thursday is Noodlers Black Swan Australian Roses etc. Here in Australia we are doing well as far as Covid goes. In South Australia we are doing brilliantly. Only about 570 cases of Covid with about 566 recoveries and 4 deaths. Keep safe in the UK. Take care and keep em coming.

Funny you should ask...I am a fountain pen neophyte, about a year or so, and find myself getting beyond an obsessive stage of acquisition and "inking up" every damn pen. A bit of organization is something I'm ready for and I appreciate your modest approach to the week ahead. So, I'm hoping to maximize the practical and fun use and minimize thinking about the use. Thanks!

I'm very glad the video was useful to you, David! Btw, I seem to be at the same stage of 'inking up', though 'obsessive acquisition' is a familiar beast that's never too far away...

Lamy Al-Star with Noodlers Heart of Darkness ink and a Field Book dot grid pocket notebook. It’s my travel kit and I’m a thousand miles from home.

All three of those are great choices for travel. Sturdy reliable pen, good water proof ink, classic pocket size notebook. Well done!

You remind me there is a Duke 551 or Confucius with a bent nib. It has three tines in the curve. A sort of fude/music mixture plus an addition on top like the nib of the Pilot Justus .
@PandaPenClub
@PandaPenClub 4 года назад
That's absolutely correct. I haven't quite reconciled myself to the fude nib - it isn't something that I've found particularly useful on a day to day basis, but I am planning to spend more time with them in the future. Thanks for reminding me about that!

I've found particularly useful Chinese fude nibs or German BB on printed pages to give an emphasis or take notes in the margins. In addition dry yellow/orange inks take on a dimension they didn't have before. This Duke Confucius has been circulating for years but I didn't know its fude nib was a little special with three tines. And now has an excellent price: 25€ (without box) delivered.

@@MateuMatheu That is a very excellent price! And very tempting indeed!

I'm hard of hearing, and sometimes I have difficulty understanding what you are saying. I turn on the captions, but they tend to make a real hash out of what you are saying sometimes. WHAT kind of Sailor pen is that? Can you write down the pens and brand names of the items you're reviewing in your descriptions of what you are reviewing, for me and others who have the same type of problems? Thanks!

My apologies! The Sailor I mentioned was a Sailor 1911 Realo. I've just added name and links for all the products mentioned in the description towards the bottom. Here are they are for you as well :) Best regards, Kartos Notepad - Florentia Cards www.scriptum.co.uk/products/kartos-notepad?
