Something else which you did mention however briefly. Don't worry about what the other bowlers are doing and getting, worry about yourself, what your ball is doing down the lanes you're on and adjust as need be. My advice is find that attack angle that the pins like example in my Monday night Mixer league I was solid in the pocket on every ball in the first game but was getting flat 7's, 10's, 8's, 9's and even some splits. I kept adjusting till I found that attack angle that the pins liked and stuck with it till the lanes transitioned and broke down then I had to start fishing once again. My favorite thing to say or tell anyone when it comes to bowling is take what the lanes and pins are giving you and adjust as the lanes transition and break down. One of the bowling alleys I bowl league in loves giving up Brooklyn for right-handed bowlers and New York or New Jersey depending on where you're from for left-handed bowler strikes, so when I bowl there that's what I do I go to the New York side because I'm a lefty. Big point here is don't be getting hung up on what everyone else is doing and concentrate on yourself, that is probably the biggest thing I have to get over most of the time. I know it's frustrating to see your opponent's getting strikes while hitting the head pin on the nose while you're in the pocket and getting splits, it's hard trying to look past that LOL.

I only bowled 1 tournament against a guy named Hakim who's bowled 900 and got destroyed but I used it as a learning experience cause I knew it was gonna happen but one of the guys help me out cause it was new to me and I guess I didn't have the right equipment next time have to bring a heavier hook ball they said lol
