Hello, I did hands, arms, legs and feet in the past, I used silicone too for the mold, but lined it with a thin coat of a shore A20-30 hardness two component liquid polyurethane rubber and filling it with a two component, flexible and very light polyurethane foam. Developed this with a friend for artificial limb protectors. I really enjoy your content, keep it up, cheers 😊

As someone who is only done a few cosplays and none of them outside of wig+clothes some makeup and ears one time, people who use silicone and make limbs are like dark wizards using black magic. Absolutely love the cosplay and how it turned out!

an idea to hold the jacket closer to the waist is to look into a little Victorian technique in the form of a waist tape. it is essentially a hidden belt under a jacket or bodice to hold it in place without any strain on buttons or hooks. Love the look though so fun and cool to see all the processes and details you added

I realised the other day he technically has 6 arms, but most of the time, he only seems to use 4 and retracts the other 2

While the finished results were a bother, I certainly commend you for putting so much time and effort into the project, and that you could still demonstrate that such a cosplay feature for Angel Dust CAN be done like that. It's not always about whether the results are comfortable or compatible, but whether they can actually be accomplished, which you did so beautifully. This first time really helped to shake out the flaws, so here's wishing you more success for another opportunity to remove those annoyances, and have a set of spider arms that will be more agreeable. Even without the extra arms, you still make a very beautiful Angel Dust in the costume, makeup and wig. You're bound to be quite the eyecatcher at conventions and similar events. This is so cool even if there were a lot of hurdles along the way! ...I am also very much the 'why buy it for $100 when I can make it for $300 in 70 hours' kind of cosplayer. Haha. My faves are Angel Dust and Solas. I love the tall and gangly characters. Ha.

For hands (that are covered) I used foil over wire. Its super cheap and pretty lights as well as posable.

to keep your gloves up- add elastic around the edge of the glove that's a little smaller than your arm width- makes them stay up for longer. I use this keep boot covers up that are weighed down with foam as well

The Angeldust episode literally made me cry constantly and even with the trigger warning... it still got me.

For those who don't know, those spots under Angel's eyes are actually another set of eyes just like a real spider. 🕷 So if you want to incorporate that into your cosplay I think that would look really cool. 👍

From a LARPer, if you put dishwater in the bristles and wash the latex out between layers the brushes will work a lot longer. Also glue spray or neoprene glue will flexibly glue foam to latex.

This is why a lot of Angel dust cosplayers, especially the ones that I met in comic con this year only went with their arms. They didn't go with the four arms. This is an actual cosplay nightmare, but at least you were able to pull it off nice, and I love angel, gosh, she's one of my favorite characters. But her song poison was so hard to watch that I almost threw up and I ended up in tears. I really feel sorry for her.

So much harder to tell on tiktok on my phone, but your eyes are mesmerizing! Not in a weird way, Eyes are kinda something ive always found visually striking.

Even with the arms being tricky, the movement and the overall look are STUNNING. Incredible work! Suggestion for the arms: crochet? It can be tailor-made to the right dimensions, acrylic yarn and stuffing are light, armature wire could easily be placed inside the stuffing, magnets can be securely attached to a specific part of the hand...I think it could work very well. And although this is a slightly crazy thing to offer, I'd be genuinely interested in making them for you - I'm also in Melbourne so getting them to you wouldn't be difficult, and crochet is a major hobby/passion of mine so working out how to get them perfect would be fun rather than brainbreaking (I hope!🤣). They're just more realistic gloves, in a way!

Even with all the room for improvement you mentioned, I still think this deserves some kind of award. If you get to a place in the future where you're satisfied and comfortable with the cosplay, perhaps you could incorporate Fat Nuggets or hold him long enough to take a photo you're happy with? This was a joy to watch, thank you so much for going through gem mayhem and temperature spikes for the sake of your art.

Also, with a latex slush/roto cast, first respirator as ammonia is used in most liquid latex. Then you pour in the latex (Barnes sells thin latex for this purpose), rotate around until you feel like you've coated the interior surface, then pour the latex out of the mould back in to the original container. Allow the mould to sit in a warm place with ventilation to cure. Then repeat as needed to increase thickness. This way the latex will fully cure and less will be used. Just takes a bit longer because multiple thin coats is better than a chonky coat.

This whole video was sooo relatable. I've had so many projects where I dove in head first because I was excited about an idea and later realized I should have planned more. Making mistakes look like they are on purpose is definitely the way to go sometimes, XD Sometimes seeing all these amazing end results is slightly discouraging when your own Cosplay just isn't turning out the way you want it to. Therefore, thanks for sharing your journey for this amazing Cosplay and all the hard work you put into it. I really love the Hazbin Hotel as well as Helluva Boss aesthetics, and I am always really happy when I see a Cosplay from one of these shows.

28:36 - keyed rigid "mother" molds to hold and index the flexible inner mold are almost essential for this kind of thing.

Hello! I love your cosplays, and I have a tip for the gloves and Rhinestones! : Try hot glueing the rhinestones to the gloves but make sure the glue doesn’t make the inside stick together. It might help and if not it would indeed be better to use sequins. The cosplay was good overall, but same with The magnets. Try hot glueing the magnets to the palm where you want it to stay ( I’m preppy sure you said the hands ). Hope this helps! 🩷

I have ADHD, so RU-vid shorts are my thing, a video over 5 minutes is unbearable. I love anything to do with Hazbin Hotel and when I saw this, I was like ‘ooh, Angel dust! Let’s watch it.’ I clicked on it and realised the video was over half an hour, I thought ‘no, I’m not going to watch all this, I’m going to get bored.’ And somehow I got to the end, fully interested and enjoying watching you go through this process of making the costume. The end product is amazing and I’ve learned a lot while also enjoying the video. Thank you for that and a massive well done for the amazing costume you’ve made. Love your problem solving. We have all made for 2x as much. Could you start with the foam hand shapes, maybe wrap with fabric and paint on the latex?? Or do flexible glue, fabric straps, and build up the foam core? Love the project and your energy and creativity.

it's really good! even tho the hands got messed up, but it's yours and its good for a first try! also, if you don't mind, could you try making a husk cosplay, i really like him, and I'd love to see you try making him :3

A good recommendation for if you are cutting off duct tape patterns is to use skin safe scissors that EMTS and doctors use that has a flat part along one side of one of the blades to protect you from being cut. EMT and fire fighters really use them to cut clothing off people so they don't cut people in the process of cutting their clothes off. Just a suggestion as a say to be safe they are sharp scissors too so just because they are safer scissors doesn't mean you are losing quality of sharpness. Hope this helps anyone who it may.

Rather than glueing the magnets on I have found just makine a sew on patch with a bit of metal works well and use a rare earth magnet on the other end. yes they cost more, totally worth it.

I beaded a dress but I bought strands that I whipped stitched into place. It also had scattered gems and I sewed those on as well.

You are so cute as him!! I love your makeup so much! I think you could sew the string to the gloves where you want it so you don't have to keep slipping it over your wrists and fingers. I also highly recommend gem tac adhesive for rhinestones if you can get it. I'm shook over the satin stitch by the way. I had no idea that's what that was and it looks so clean! Thank you for that tip!

If you know anyone who works on computers that could give you a couple of hard drive magnets, you'd never have to worry about things not sticking. I think sequins or something that you can sew onto the gloves would be better than the glued on crystals.

I'm planning on buy a piggy plushie and make It into a bag, so It's like you also have the little lovely Angel Dust pet!

as a fellow cosplayer i find your videos charming, they are uncensored and relatable and i enjoy that you just throw yourself eagerly into projects with no clear plan (just like me!) i love your final outfit and im appreciative of learning from your process advice from my own experience for the round part on the bow (which understandably was frustrating to navigate) - what i do is buy those big cheap statement accessories and just pull off the round "gems". I can get one gem for under 1$ in pretty much any colour. They are not only often found in the colour you want already, you can easily spray paint it, cover it or use acrylics. I cant get a proper round shape to save my life, so thats what i get. And big buttons are super expensive so i dont recommend those unless you can get them of an old clothing piece.I have a few saved for spontanious projects like these. Also if you already have resin you could also make your own gems by pouring a mold. Im assuming you wanted to try the crystal art tho, which i never used myself yet also for cutting off the tape i highly recommend medical scissors - those for cutting off clothing in emergency. you can get them on amazon for like 10€ and its worth not hurting yourself.

I just screamed YES, about the mindset "why I would pay 50 in something ready made if I can spend a 100 in craft supplies and make it myself?" We've always been there, haven't we?

I would highly suggest using E-6000 glue for gluing down rhinestones. I have made several pairs of rhinestone converses and I find that this glue works best.
