This is a unique and special preserve in a too often overlooked part of Oklahoma. It is stark. It is beautiful. I am grateful TNC was able to protect it. If we can add a few thousand acres more as other neighboring ranches are willing to sell their lands, there will be enough habitat to bring bison and elk back to the property. It already is home to bob cats, coyotes, mule deer, and offers a corridor to at least one mountain lion passing through. If you get a chance to take a hike at this preserve, jump on it. It is gorgeous!
