💯 agree with Keith's take. We're all frustrated and there's been bad performances recently, but this wasn't one. And anyone calling for heads is just living in fantasy world. In real world, you can't have a CL campaign and squad reduced to 13, and expect us to keep top-4 level all year. Esp when rest of top 10 are improved. Our chances created and defence stats are around best in league even now - amazing really, and shows where we might be with some players, form, luck and confidence back.
They put a great shift in today, behind the scenes they need to work faster to bolster the squad because that was literally the difference and we know this!
I wouldn't criticize anything. I thought Eddie got his tactics right and caused City problems until the lads tired. Just compare the cost of the midfields of each team, and the strength of each bench. I am optimistic that after the lads have a break we can do well against Villa (and their high line.....)
That was a brilliant watch even though we lost..im still in the Huff but feel when we get a full squad back and build over a few more seasons we will close the Gap and Eddie is the man to do it.❤❤
We did very well, all being considered. Clear we are a team that needs to train properly to keep that well-drilled element which is key to the way we play. Don’t think we’ll have too many more poor results against the teams below us.
Lads gave their all but im sorry naivity has cost us yet again.. Why oh why didn't Eddie not change things to hang on to what we had in the last 15 mins or so.. Personally i'd have took Gordon off and put Lacelles on and put Schar into midfield.. Gutted to end up with nothing !!
I’m pleased with the way a tired team played today & losing to city is no disgrace but it's same old same old from us again. Conceding a goal yet again in that same no.10 pocket & losing points in injury time. I can't fault the lads today but i'd really love to see signs that eddie has identified these weakness & worked on it on the training ground. For all the undeniable injuries & fatigue in the squad we've been worked out a bit this season & we need to show that we can improve in these areas. I still have faith in eddie though, i just hope he can solve these reoccurring issues. And soon! Cheers keith.
Honestly Eddie's hands we're tied and overall great effort but ran out of steam in the second half. That;s when fresh legs would of had made an impact, maybe I have some of the young lads playing. Isn't it what they're waiting for?
The Luton and forrest loses hurt this didn't.... Kdb with a amazing finish and for me he's the best midfielder to ever play in the prem and that quick footwork from Oscar bob was fantastic..... Unlucky on the lads av noticed lately that alot of are fan base are spitting there dummy out and it's actually embarrassing
Conceding far too many goals, 3 City, 3 Forest, 4 Spurs, 4 Liverpool etc etc. Hall came on in the 86th minute? Bring on Krafth at least he can run and close down.
Our issue lately is that space in front of the defence, we know it, Eddie knows it, so why is it still happening? For De Bruyne's goal, each of Miley, Bruno & Longstaff are practically holding hands, why are they playing like that? ... Are we now getting tired after 45mins? Why sit back for the whole second half, when we know from previous games that we can't do that - Milan, Chelsea, City - it was suicidal tactics.
No complaints tonight. I have criticised Howe in previous games this season, even when injuries weren’t an issue, but not tonight. Good effort all round.
