supposedly being in the back row in FF4 doesn't affect damage you receive/take like other FFs, all it does is cut your accuracy in half when not using a long range weapon
Lol, seriously. I was always disappointed by this fight for that exact reason, though it would have been a pain to clear. Still, now that the four fiends are in FF 14, I fully expect there will eventually be an Ultimate battle that is in fact all four of them at once.
Rubicante: *heals you* Other Elemental Lords: Damn it, what are you doing?! Other Elemental Lords: I can't believe we lost! Rubicante: It's been an honor. For an evil fiend, Rubicante is quite noble.
I ended up at too low a level in the Giant of Babel, so this fight was pretty tense. I barely beat the mechanical dragon (ordinary enemy!) and almost got stuck in a death loop on the CPU. It helps a little to have Rosa in the back row (she has a lot of HP, but poor defense.) Rubicante's restoration of your hp/mp in this situation isn't really that much of a game changer as there is a save spot not far off. As always, some items (like Phoenix Downs and Hi-/X-potions) are worth their weight in gold. They really help you out in this battle by giving you Fusoya who is basically a double-Tellah, having the ability to cast two third tier elemental spells per round makes the incredible amount of damage you need to inflict bearable.
This really does sound like a theme song for the demons from Dante's Inferno. I kept rats as pets in my youth and always named them after the demons named in the book.
@@joshk147 No offense here, what reality are you in bro? That game was far from easy. Only beat it because I abused grinding on the moon. I wish I bought the steam version because the DS version only has one difficulty.
My first time playing this was the ds version and I have bad memories of this battle specifically because i got to this battle in my first playthrough, lost a couple times, then I had to restart from the beginning because my save somehow got deleted
@@TigerNightmare yeah, I think it always said something like 'four elements' - it's a unique boss in that it changes form when it receives a certain amount of damage. Ironic since they claim to want to 'work together' but still just fight you one at a time.
I honestly don’t like the music remakes for the pixel remasters at all. It’s missing the feeling and atmosphere of the originals. Also, can we talk about the worst most generic font ever…
