I like how their focus is different... some focused on gameplay, others on story, others on style...

I just discovered these videos and they're really cool - but I wish there was a section at the end where all the developers had a chat and talked about what they liked and disliked about each game to each other.

Wannibe Manisha's game blew me away. I had to pause in awe after she showed her part of developing it. I find it incredible that was created in 48 hours! Awesome job Wannibe Manisha.

This is definitely one of my favorite dev series on youtube! It's such a simple premise but it never gets old (I guess that's part of the genius)!

Miziziziz's game looks really fun, I like the physics based movement and that rotation of the ship

Woah blackthornprod loses a day of time and still makes a great polished game, that's what experience looks like.

It would be very nice to have a discussion after all the games have been played. In a majority of cases, fellow developers are playing the games with no form of critique and usually just talk about what they like. Blackthorn specifically talks about visual and audio design which are aspects generally discarded during game jams. I think everyone benefits from direct critique, even those who are very experienced with game development.

I would've loved to hear some of the other devs give constructive criticism. It felt like BlackthornProd was the only one who did. It's really helpful to aspiring game devs to hear critiques from a wide variety of people, not just one (even if it isn't our game being critiqued)

The music and content were on point, thanks as always for the video

funny 'cos the platformer seems like it'd be like blah because we've seen it so many times, but the onboarding is sooo dope and the overall aesthetic is quite nice

blackthorn struggling to come up with a good idea but persevering and creating loads of prototypes is honestly quite inspiring for us devs stuck in creative block

I'd have to say my favorite game was Wannibe Manisha's, simply because the fps puzzle game with cool level design appeals to me... but all the games were really good! Good to see Blackthornprod joining the series :)

im late to the party but this series has sparked a renewed passion in game developing in me. im hooked! i love this idea and once i finish my first few games I want to challenge myself like this and document it.

Idk why everyone had such a hard time with Miziziziz's game, I beat it in like 3 minutes lol. All the games were so nice, always look forward to seeing these videos!

I love these videos of having youtubers making games with the same art kit within 48 hours. And Blackthornprod was a suprise to me. It's really fun watching you all making games this way. Btw I remember that earlier this year you hosted a game jam with the same rules of having a single art kit where everyone can join. So I hope you'll be doing that again sometime soon! :)

Wow. Great jam games! I like the unlit models that Blackthornprod used. I managed to play Wannibe Manishas game a few weeks ago and it was definitely great level design. Zygers platform style is awesome, I didn't expect a 2d platformer with this pack. And It's cool how Miziziziz put together his spaceship with multiple models.

Always looking forward to more episodes in this series, the world building by Wannibe was really impressive!

This series is brilliant; I've enjoyed every one and I've found a ton of new creators to follow while watching. It's a great, simple concept to restrict things just enough to induce creative solutions.

honestly with a some more graphical variety and small tweaks blackthornprod's game could be a smartphone game smash

This is pretty solid, and i think this makes for a fun interactive and enjoyable game jam!

This was really cool! Impressed at what all of you were able to do. Having BTP make 27 prototypes before knocking out a game had me laughing so hard though :P I guess there was too much time for him to really get pushed ;)

Really like this idea to see what happens to the game. To add your own take on the "game pass idea" could go around twice. That way, each person sees the game twice. trying to take the game back in to there own direction.

They can walk on the platform like here "Jump and go inside the ground"

I have a minor in drafting... basically autocad. It was for engineering, etc, but i have zero clue on coding.... this stuff seems like magic. Where do you even begin?

Oh boy, 3d snake!

Ok I have a critique: all games had a major flaw that's really commom, and that can be solved by following a simple rule: "When you finish your prototype and you made so you can finish the level. Call that hard and tune it down!" Everything were kinda too precise to execute in all games, I know it takes some prior knowledge to just get it right but still it's important that for you that's making the game and understand the gears of the code to feel really like it's too easy. A good tip I can give is to test how long simple techiniques work to survive in your game and what is the intended technique to solve the game + how much freedom and time do you have to execute it.

I've used Kenney's assets before. I love the look of them, but each vertex aren't connected to the other overlapping vertex. UE4 didn't have fun baking the lighting and it made my 3rd year uni submission look like crap.
