I desperately need the Lord working in my marriage. I wish some of these truths had been sealed in my heart at a young age. I am 64 now. Been married for 35 years now and I know it is not only what I had wanted but not what God would have out of our union. Praying God will change both our hearts for Him and each other.

I love getting insights; from this message, your description of this life like being a hotel room was absolutely on the mark and an illuminating insight. I know the scripture where our body is a tent, but I have been struggling to find a way to communicate the briefness of life, and the hotel analogy hit the bullseye; I see SO many people living in the 'hotel room' and buying a 'bigger TV or better furniture', but for the last few years I have come to realize the 'hotel' concept and have been living as such. I have literally 10 lifetimes of projects and plans, and perhaps 20 years left, so the things of THIS life have been falling to the wayside as unimportant left and right and has become quite a realization and struggle to pursue 'things' which have eternal value, and live as an example toward that. I used to live as is there were no 'check out' time; now I have realized there IS a check out time and we don't know when it is; it could be tomorrow. And considering my history, I am VERY glad I was not escorted out for missing the checkout time, and when I leave THIS hotel, I CAN go home... BTW, did you cover the 'put your hand under my thigh' part? I am still wondering about that...

Oh my goodness I am 69 and been single and content in First Love for 25yrs and then a Christian Widower came into my life, but after 6 months he is clearly not ready to move forward and it’s been so painful and so I’m giving him space while he does a grief course. Not sure it has a future but have no one to talk to……
I pray that you continue to have patience to let God work his magic. Always see the glass half full as you said this man is taking a course! That's awesome news. Just keep being supportive and for ur personal strength turn to the lord- fill ur self on the words to help you in ur wait so your "painful " wait doesn't need to seem so painful

This guy was around 22 when he got married and his wife was like 19. I'm sure it's easy to spout "trust God" when you get married so young. Try adding another decade and a half to that and see if you're still so trusting and self righteous.
