The scotch It's a pretty good opening, very underrated so a lot of opponents didn't face It very much, It gives you the advantage if you manage to know the basic ideas. Look at Kasparov's scotch opening games in the 1990 W.C.M. against Karpov, very instructive 👍

that final bit of analysis was insane, very entertaining actually. wild to see the kinds of things that are possible in chess. just shows how complicated it can get, and how creative you a have to be to see some of the lines

Hey Daniel, Your videos have literally inspired me and my buddy to start learning chess about a year ago, we still love it and we watch your videos all the time. I was really wanting to get him a chessboard for either Christmas or his birthday in a couple weeks and wanted to see if you had a recommendation of a nice one, perhaps what’s one that you have that you’ve liked? These little Playthroughs you do after analysis helped me a lot to grow my intrest in studying famous gm games. I have come a long way from 713 in June to 1449 current rapid based on the amazing insight of the speedruns . Thanks sir!

I would have liked if you looked more into the possibilities for black to defend. It would have helped if you went through whether there was any way for black to defend before the actual attack already started.

At 15:54, if his next move wasn't a check, I can't find the way to save him from the rooks flying down the e file. The bishop that was saving him with the block on f1 fails because the king can't capture the rook back with the black bishop on h3. Am I missing something, or was he actually one passive move away from a possible loss?

I'd almost suggest playing 15/10 if you want a large player pool and a long-ish time control, since it's one of the default choices...

at 4:30, you casually mentioned that Bxh6 doesn't work. It's a good defensive tactical puzzle, after gxh6 Qg4, Qg5 blocks the attack.

24:29 i actually looked at Qf5+ but after Ke7 Qxd5 I didnt think white was winning because he already sacced a piece. so i put it into an engine and it says -1.8 after Qxd5

I kinda don’t blame your opponent for losing the knight. It clearly wasn’t the best move but he really was in a bad position. I didn’t see how d6, helped him not lose to the bishop sac on h6
