Feed barriers and concrete panel should have been fitted to the slat side of the post to prevent dung buildup around the inside of the post. It also allows the scrapper to scrap nicely along the post area. Too many people fitting sheds make this mistake.
Hallo. Ich möchte den Preis für diesen Stall wissen und Sie können mir den Plan für diesen Stall schicken. Ich komme aus Algerien. Es ist ein großartiger Job. Danke.
Why not? I estimate a cost per cow around $12,500 for the new barn. Suppose the cows produce an average of 1-gallon more per cow, and they can produce milk for one more year due to better living conditions: more space, better ventilation, better light, lower temperature fluctuations due to better insulation, greater comfort, and less stress. Add to this less health expenses due to hocks, fungus, mastitis, etc. at $100 per hour per additional vet visits once a week for six months per year. Add to this less expenses in 20-years for not building a new barn. This barn has milking robots which means at least two fewer people working in it every year. People usually work 12-hour shifts. This means at least 3,000 hours per shift per worker. At $15 per hour, this is $45K per worker, and for two workers this is $90K per year. So add $90K per year. Therefore: ($0.35-per gallon x 250 cows x 365 days x 7-years) + (10-gallons x $0.35 x 250 x 365) + ($100 per vet visit x 25-weeks x 8-years) + ($90K for fewer workers x 8-years) = $1,282,937 lower costs. This reduces the cost to $6,869 per cow. Every eight years, the same amount can be reduced again. In other words, the new barn will pay for itself in 16-years, and it will outlast many barns, and my numbers are erring on the side of caution. I actually think they will do better than this. How many barns do you know that can pay for themselves in 16-years?
Looks like too many cows in one group. And they have to walk too much to the robots. Would be better if the robots were in the middle, separating the herd in half into two groups.
There are self lockers up by the robots. We have the same idea as this in our barn. You can program the robots to route the cows to the sick pen for breeding or treating a sick cow.
