I now finally understand why Jordan Peterson said that the story of exodus is a story which hints to a meta-pattern i.e. a meta-truth and that it is always happening.

I've been waiting for an Orthodox to cover this for a long time. What is the difference between Typology and Symbology? I've only ever heard of this from Protestants. Is John Cassian the only father who talks about this? Where can we find this in the Fathers?
