The Institute for Parents of Preschool Children Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing is a free multi-day program on the Illinois School for the Deaf campus in Jacksonville.
It provides valuable education, resources and peer support for raising a child with hearing loss.
This video spotlights four participants from the 2023 Institute - Christian, Nyah, Nevaeh and Casper.
Their families share stories of the personal growth they experienced and the community they found during their time at the 2023 Institute.
UIC’s Division of Specialized Care for Children (DSCC) helps sponsor this annual program.
