Literally got this in my feed today(the day of the test) 4 hours after I completed it. It turns out that RU-vid agrees with the idea that the best time to study for a test is after it.

@@everardo6482 I got a 4 last year, but what I did was focus on the rubric. As long as you know some content that can fit into an argument then you should be good content wise. Aim for as much points as YOU can personally handle. Don’t shoot too high or you’ll bite off more than you can chew and end up w/ a bad score. Gauge yourself with practice and get comfortable w/ the version of the test you’re taking. I recommend Heimler’s history bc he’s the person that really taught me all this! I hope you do great :D

Notes from the video 1. Adopt the AP test mindset youre tested on how well you can think historically and not just content so don't start studying content first 2. Know your grading rubrics (DBQ and LEQ) read and know it well 3. Take practice exams once a week from teachers (AP classroom) or in a review book 4. Know your content ditch your textbook- will overwhelm you and have content you don't need use CED (course exam room description)- can be found online where college board outlines everything that could be on exam; anything not on it will not be on the exam - look at learning objectives& illustrative examples (know at least two of them)
"don't start studying a week before the exam" me reviewing everything the day before 😗 Edit: I got a 2 on my AP world ;; I'm a sophomore now and I'm taking the AP Euro exam on friday, started studying last week. I feel like I can get a 5, but I still wish I've started studying earlier lololol EDIT 2: I GOT A 4 AND I FELT AMAZINGLY CONFIDENT DURING THE EXAM!!!
Heimler really is my saving grace in history classes. Last year I managed to squeeze out a 5 in AP World thanks to binge watching his videos during quarantine. And before every test I have in APUSH this year, I have to watch his review videos. Thank you so much, Heimler. You’re doing god’s work.
That's awesome, congrats on the 5! Before the test, how many practice tests/DBQ's and whatnot did you do to prepare? Do you think 6-8 would be a good amount to prepare? Sorry to ask, but I'm really worried about the exam lol
@@universaldelight2277 At school, my teacher had a few practice DBQ’s that we completed over the school year. Fortunately, I didn’t have to take the multiple choice test; the test only had one DBQ. I would definitely watch Heimler’s videos on how to write a DBQ too.

Meant to post this yesterday but ran out of time haha... This is going to help SO MUCH. I have been overwhelmed by AP review and this method will cut my study time in half because I am not jumping around all the content. Thank you for "holding our hand" the whole way. I was wondering how I was going to study everything in time, so I turned on RU-vid and the FIRST THING in my recommended was this video... All I can say is yes.

The soccer metaphor is the perfect way to explain why we need to learn to think historically rather than memorizing content, these videos are incredibly helpful
i know i’m not heimler, but the way i’m gonna do it is study content, take the practice exam, and then re study what I got wrong. and the another practice exam and so on.
@@monarch9258 I have not received the results yet. Strangely enough, I felt more comfortable with the written responses than the multiple choice answers. I'm just glad the test is over so I don't have to live in disquietude any longer.
I literally started studying a week before my WHAP exam with Heimler's videos last year and I got a 4, hopeful starting a month before the exam this year might get me a 5 in APUSH 😊
@@heartovermatter333 I felt the exact same way before my exam last year. As long as you know the general concepts about each unit you should be fine. Heimler has about 10 minute videos for each unit in WHAP, so I watched about 5 of those videos everyday and took 1 or 2 pages of notes for each unit. It took me about 2-3 hours everyday for a week, so if you're starting now you should be totally fine. You really don't need to study the content as much as you need to study the formatting of the SAQ, DBQ, and LEQ's.

You should probably use that and taken notes while you watch Heimer/Crash Course (or some other history channel) for extra review. It helps to get a lot of repetition!
All I can say is don’t take ap world history just cuz your freinds did in my opinion I was not meant for it thank god for this man my teacher did not help me in any way and I’m happy to say I got a 3 on this test
so.... just apply what you've learned? Also, quick question: how do you motivate yourself to take notes? I'm taking my first AP class and I'm having some troubles with it

I finally passed my AP exams thanks to the help of MR clark who helped me during this process.He has good tips and questions for everyone willing to join him for tutoring.He has the key to success in his hands.
@@yaretziulloa3006 we had a really bad teacher situation where we ended up having to learn the entire course material in 1 quarter of the year. during quarantine, we couldn’t really learn anything so i just watched all his topic videos and then most importantly, i watched all of his essay writing videos. i watched his videos on how to get each individual point and then i practiced it (for example, i would watch his video on the contextualization point, then i would practice it on my own). practice is key i didn’t necessarily study the material a lot, it was more of just practicing the skills and watching all of heimlers topic videos to brush up on the overall events.
Heimler, My class is just barely starting Unit 7 of AP World History. I know it is impossible for my teacher to go through all the content in the remainder units before the exam in about a month. What should I do?
