I never considered a truck camper until watching your channel. They seem like a great option for 1-2 people that really want to get off the beaten path while still having some nice features.
Four Wheel Camper, you need to figure a way to incorporate the underbed storage option into other models besides the flat bed model. It's a great feature.
Great job on the tour! We have one of the Woolrich Hawk slide-ins that we bought in 2019 and love it. These are special editions (only 100 will be made). Not only are the Four Wheel Campers well make the company is wonderful, they take care of their buyers. We lurked for a long time before buying and found the camper owners so pleased with their purchase and the service. Now we can say the same! They also do 2 "owner rallies" in CA so hopefully you Mak and the Russio's come join one of them.
My Hiking Pals, use a Hawk model with rollover couch. Keeps us cozy when in Maine, Alberta, and Idaho. And generally safe from curious bears. Just wish they would come with freckles. Must be an upgrade!
You speak really well, Mac. I'm going to their site now to look at the Woolrich slide in floorplans. I want to see how that shower is set up. I'm about to get a F350, and I have been really hot for a Kimbo, but you and the Russos are making me really think about these pop ups. Thx girl. 💥💥👊🏻
Hell yeah! They are really great and we love our FWC so much! They have so many great layouts that can work for just about anyones needs! We also demonstrate the shower in our own personal rig tour
Slide in models fit a truck with a pickup bed, like they'd come from the factory with. Flat bed models are for trucks that have an aftermarket flat bed, flat beds usually have storage boxes hanging under the bed, but can be very expensive ($3k+).
You two do an outstanding job! I love the Storm Doors so it can breathe! It's the little things. OH a Hot Sauce Kind of Sewer Cause I put that Sh** om everything, lol! Tapatio is my go to! Cheap, delicious, and The Walmart!
Thank you so much for this video. The build quality of these campers looks very nice. In my research, I keep going back and forth between a van and a truck camper. When you are inside, which floor plan feels more spacious to you? The side dinette or the front? Can side dinettes be fitted with an indoor shower and toilet? Thank you. I enjoy your videos!
Hey there Dave! I personally think that the front dinette of the slide in options feels most spacious to me. They also have the ability to have the inside shower. I don't think the side dinette has that option. But all can have a little toilet added.
@@BoundForNowhere That floor plan also seems the more spacious to me as well. Sleeping is also a concern of mine. I like that the bed could lengthen or at least let a person's feet hang over the bottom with no obstruction. Another plus to me, is the rear mounted AC... Yes, I'm a tender foot. :) It is nice to know it is an available option!
@@BoundForNowhere First of all - I love your youtube channel! The front dinette is also my favorite out of the slide-in models. I'm torn between that and the flatbed. I'd really love your thoughts on this, but I also totally understand you're on the road and super busy! You mentioned (in another video) that your current rig is a little larger than you wanted to be. I looked into the first gen tundras, but I'm going to go with a new F150 with a >2K max payload for the warranty and peace of mind as I travel alone. If it was just you and a dog going on extended trips, but not full-time, would you choose the slide-in to be about a foot shorter and have a lower center of gravity? Or still go with the flatbed as that layout is so comfortable?
I’ve watched all 3 of your live videos and enjoyed them so much that I didn’t want them to end. Also the pretty blonde girl sings great. Where can I access your music??
Great info, but is she asking questions every other sentence or making statements? When did people forgot that question sentences end with the inflection going up? Statements do not.
Hello, great video! We are considering these because of your video and personal tour of your rig! However, living in the Deep South, A/C is really important. Is there an option for it on all models, or any info on that option? Thank you!!
Do you happen to know how many tightly packaged individually wrapped 1 kilo packs of generic powder can fit in the secret storage area under the dinette ?
Does anyone else find it a slight conflict of interest wearing and purchasing an outerwear company (Patagonia) that willingly participates and donates to groups that advocates the closure of offroad trails, forest service roads, forests, etc. for OHV usage? Hmph...
We support Patagonia because they do incredible philanthropic and preservation work to ensure that our beautiful natural resources are around for generations to come! If that means there is a few less roads for us to venture down, in our opinion that's a small price to pay because we live in a big world with more than enough adventures out there to keep us entertained.
@@BoundForNowhere it's more than a few less roads. In my state alone since the 1990s, environmentalists and their constituents have closed down over 21,000 miles of forest service roads. And that's just my state. So despite their warm, fuzzy appearance of "caring about the environment"(ironically while contributing to the micro plastics in our water supply every time their clothing is washed) and being an outdoor company with philanthropic roots, all of this has an asterisk next to it. And that asterisk is this: we love that you explore the outdoors, as long as you do it our way. To hell with OHV usage. Or even mountain bikes. We only want you to use your feet in areas we allow you to use. We will fight to close down areas permanently, so no one can even enter on foot without a special permit that takes years to acquire. This is the future of their "philanthropic roots" you endorse every time you buy their clothing. They are the enemy of anyone that enjoys OHV exploration, those who want to keep forests open, treated respectfully, and most importantly, managed by its own people...not some fringe environmentalists who'd rather see it all closed off and inaccessible.
