phuhcue the one with the clear and blue counters and the little bag with a drawstring? That’s the first mtg item I bought too! Remember it was 19.99 retail. Read the rule book and played with my older brother. Didn’t take us long to realize circle of protections were not much fun, the first card to make the ban list ever for us, hah! Hm that card shop I bought it from is still open too I should go there and buy something lol
That is when I relly got into Magic, just at theend of Revised I was introduced to Magic and bought pakcs... but with fourth I really started bying packs and trade... and I loved the starterdeck, with the lands, the book, how it felt opening it... really like a gift, ten times better than a booster pack... too bad they discontinued, this product... man, the memories.. birds of paradise, Royal assasin, Library, millstone, stripmine, en so much more... love fourth... not expensive but thats also a good thing... feel of the old without the real high pricetag, man... the nostalgia... love it... LOVE IT... nice to see you open these kind of starterdecks... all the best!
Same. Started buying revised but soon moved to 4th edition, ice age, and chronicles. Ughhh. Luckily I bought a bunch of dual lands when they were still $10 back in 2000 and a box of Urza's Saga in 1998.
So, I went to see They Might Be Giants, and their guitar player looks exactly like you. Or at least he did from 200 feet and when he mentioned the craziness of the evening.... I wanted him to open booster packs!!
I saw that blue lace when you split the cards, and then you got to the rares and hit chaoslace!!!! I was like nooooo, double lace!!!!😂😂🤷♂️🤷♂️ still awesome tho, thanks!!
Most expensive card out of that pack appeared to be the artifact mana rock, it shot up pretty good in paper due to commander, felwar stone. Or is swords more
I actually opened one of these when I was in elementary school, even though 5th Edition was already out. I got a Cosmic Horror in it and I though it was the coolest shit _ever._ What was I thinking?
