As a youth, I was in a Fourth of July parade where I learned the very important difference between throwing and tossing. We say, “throw the candy” but really mean “toss the candy.” I definitely hit several people with jolly ranchers when throwing them candy. 😝

I grew up just like him and braved it all around his age maybe a little older. 🎉 Where I'm from phillip island Australia fireworks are sort of frowned apon from locals as we have too much wildlife. Bit we get to see the ones over the bay. Or we drive to a different town to get closer... twice a year (new year eve and Australia day 26th January) we are all reminded to keep our furr friends inside as a lot do get spooked from the illegal fireworks

Rues probably not scared because it's so far away. It's when a neighbor next door shoots off fireworks they hear the loud boom they get scared.

Rats are awesome! My old teacher used to take her pet rat to the movies in her hoodie pocket and feed it popcorn 😂

Naww Lukey 😭 🫶 This video was so great to see, especially as someone who also gets overwhelmed by loud noises (and crowds and bright lights, etc. etc. - I've only quite recently acknowledged all this about myself & started making adjustments to my life to help me cope, after a late diagnosis of Autism and ADHD at age 29!). To see this lil dude experience the joy of fireworks (and after the whole day full of various, probably pretty over stimulating at times! celebration) was beautiful and a great message to all to persevere through those feelings of fear or doubt, when you can. Supportive, loving people around you make all the difference! So great to see and hear the way Chris, and everyone, is with Luke 🥰 And congrats to Bailey and Parker on their upcoming theatre roles! Very exciting, and well-earned! 👏

I’m glad Parker and Bailey are both the plays over the summer. I have seen fiddle on the roof before it’s any amazing show and I have heard the legally blonde soundtrack there are some great songs in there. I seen lots of people playing spike ball and cornhole at my local university.

Rats are the BEST pets ever! I have 2 right now but have had up to 13 at a time!❤❤❤

I never got chocolate when I went to parades~ I always got the cheap stuff😂😂😂

Rats are some of the best pets I’ve ever had. They need to be kept in at least pairs bc they’re very social. Mine used to do tricks and would act like little dogs. They were even trained to use their own little potty in their cage. The only bad thing is their short life spans and the fact they’re prone to getting tumors. They only live about 2-3 years. The oldest rat I ever had was 4 1/2 which is almost unheard of. She was rescued as a baby from a feeder tank and lived a very long happy life. Rats are much better than hamsters for kids in my opinion, but they need large cages and lots of mental stimulation.

Parker did _not_ lose his marshmallow because there it still was, right there, not lost at all.

It depends on where you live in SoCal. For example, unless laws have changed In Lancaster it's illegal but right next door in Palmdale it's legal.

Are there any more episodes of family camp coming? The last episode didn't seem like the end.

i actually had a rat, that i saved from a pet store.. imwas holding a newly born rat and a guy came in and wanted small mice to feed his snake and they did not have any but they said we have a baby rat and i said NO i am buying it.... so it was not snake food... she was very smart... i taught her to go to the bathroom on a paper towel.... rats are actually very smart..my mom was scared of her tail somi took markers and painted her tail rainbow somshe would not be as scared.... she lived for almost 10 years..... i loved her she never bite anyone and was so sweet.....

I'm going to say that I fell in love with your familie (s) When my kiddo (now 18 nearly 19) went to the Miranda concert in Santa Cruz California My kiddo absolutely loved how everyone was so nice so I immediately followed all of The Ballengers so very proud to do so Much love to you all ❤😊❤

Here in utah it's legal from July 2nd to July 5th I believe and then July 21st to July 25th for Pioneer Day. I swear people light them majority of the month though. And the professional fireworks at our states biggest firework show caused alot of injuries from malfunctioning fireworks this year.

My 2 things are spiders and heights.

Hey! Have you noticed your kids are getting older? How they do that? It seems they're a year older than last 4th of July. That's bizarre! Except Duncan who magical becomes younger and older all of the time and strangely seems 2.7 years older when doing science.

My inner six year old kept responding to every statement of love for rats with a snarky, "so why don't you marry them?" (I also love rats btw) I love my inner six year old but I won't marry them because they're quite annoying sometimes.

Where I'm from, fireworks are illegal, but on the 4th, no one cares. My dog-o doesn't care either.

Canon is better than Sony for skin colors that are not white oddly. Sony gets the skin tones wrong on non white skin, and has a lot of trouble identifying and focusing on non white faces. It's been like that for years and years oddly, so apparently Sony doesn't mind since they've never fixed it.
