Fourtrax 250R on Devil's Dune in St. Anthony

Have a look at what it's like to go to the top of the infamous "Devil's Dune", inside St. Anthony's Sand Dunes, Idaho.
My buddy Jake rides a 1985 350X and I'm riding the 1988 Fourtrax 250r. Both the bikes performed great and boy are those 2-strokes fun out there.
Special thanks to Shane and the "St. Anthony Duners -- Home of the Locals" for following me back to camp, when I got low on gas. I'll look forward to seeing you guys next time!

A bike has to have some serious guts and top-end to rip the Devil’s Dune in 6th gear... which is why a banshee like yours would be amazing!

The ergo of the TRX is just perfect for shooting big hills and bowls. I swear, Honda was on FIRE when the put out the Fourtrax 250R.

Thank you, so glad you enjoyed it. I wish I had more footage on Devil’s Dune- it’s a monster. It was the first time on my 310 that I thought “man, I could really go for some more power”. Such a fun place to ride.

It's incredible. That bowl at the beginning is Devil's Dune and it doesn't disappoint. I didn't doctor-up the video. The sky was that blue and the sand was that golden. It's the kind of place a KX500 could really be appreciated.

What mods does your 250r have?

Nothing big. ESR 310 kit, ported & polished. Weisco piston. 40mm polished carb. Elka shocks. +2 teeth rear sprocket.

@@sethanderson9931 I really don’t know… high 20’s… Maybe a little over 30? I do know that I would have gladly taken double the HP on Devil’s Dune. I couldn’t hit al the gears running up it. I was constantly shifting between 4th and 5th. Never did hit 6th.
