Gotta love football. Two games you thought might be good end up being blowouts, while a 1 win Houston team takes Dallas to the end and the 4 and 8 Panthers actually shows up to play Seattle.
You're probably correct because even back when he was on the Patriots, I think whenever they were involved in a "game of the week" it's usually a close match.
@@rje1293 West coast teams also always play at 4 anyway in the day slot. The Game of the Week happened to be in San Francisco, but since Seattle had a home game, they also occupy that time slot. Since it's the "lesser" game, it gets played locally in Seattle & Charlotte markets, while the rest of the country watches the premiere match-up
@@stewybagodonuts817 Commercial . . . we are cutting to a more competitive game . . . commercial, we are cutting to a more competitive game . .. commercial, we are cutting to a more competitive game . . . actual game. It was a long loop of one bad decision that pissed me off.
@@REALRIOTCOKE yeah, that's what they'd love us all to do and they're doing their best to force us that way. i can only speak for myself, but i'm not watching if it's not free. easy enough to walk away from conventional broadcasts if needed.
I was so pissed watching the Eagles game! I live in Florida now and was stoked I got to see the birds on national tv, and when they switch over to the stupid ass cowgirls game my family who was watching with me and myself all were like are you freaking kidding me! Screw you FOX!
That's why I bootleg all my games. Not about to pay for them to change the channel on me last second. All those commercials too? I'll take clicking a link over paying for cable all day.
There‘s a very similar situation that’s been happening to other people lately. People were buying NFL game pass, and when a game would go into overtime, it would just shut off.
I’m a 49ers fan in New Mexico and haven’t been able to watch games on TV in back to back weeks since I lived in the bay. I was so hurt when they cut away from the game 😂😂
@@me3ksdagoat279 we know we’re just saying it’s not every week we get to see the game on tv cause of our location and it would have been nice to watch the whole thing
@@troyevans8644 facts. I don’t care if it would’ve been them coming back on the 9ers. I just want to finish a whole game when it’s them blowing out Tom Brady 😂
I live in NY State in a Giants markets and the blowout game was shown in it's entirely. The same thing would of happened If I lived in SF or Tampa today. Your local market team cannot be switch due to NFL Television Rules. Unless theirs a some sort of delay, then they will return to that game when the local game resumes.
@@thesublimeparadigm8863 I don't fully know the rule, but apparently all of the markets that had a local team playing in the early window did not switch in the late window. I was in Detroit and our station also kept the TB-SF game on the whole time and didn't switch. Same with NYC and Dallas, and probably with Philadelphia, Minneapolis, and Houston. All of the markets that had a local team playing in the FOX 1 PM window.
@@thesublimeparadigm8863 Silly? The network has to show the local game in its entirety on the basis that that's the team's fanbase and they'll want to see it, but viewers in other TV markets may be watching just because they like football, i.e., that's not their team playing, and would rather watch a more competitive game between two other teams. The networks don't care about fan loyalty, they care about viewership and ad revenue.
Who would've guessed that the Texans would've actually given the Cowboys a real scare today....? 😯Cowboys did get the win though...but, I wonder if they let their guard down a little after blowing out the Colts last Sunday, hmm.
And that blowout of the Colts only happened during the second half. Dallas playing down to competition two weeks in a row is quite sad given how close they are in the fight for the #1 seed.
Yeah, they also tuned people out of a competitive game that went into overtime because of "NFL rules ". They did it two weeks in a row over here on the west coast
Yeah we here in Orlando are subject to the local market rules for the Bucs and Jags. My first 10 years down here I never saw a Bucs Home Game cause they couldn't sell a game out to save their lives. Jags we just get their road games most of the time.
A star was born in the NINER BUCS game ..Brock Purdy in his first NFL start beat up on the goat pretty good...and you cut away ...the football gods will get even with you...GO NINERS
@@grondhero First off for your information I don’t live in Tampa Bay or San Francisco so don’t start that with me and secondly I honestly wanted Fox to cut away from that game cuz it was boring and the game was pretty much over by the end of the first quarter heck it was over before it even started but I would’ve loved to have seen Carolina or Seattle but nope here in NY I got stuck with “The Blowout of the Week” so thanks Fox it was much appreciated 💀
That’s so dumb to change games. Imagine being a die hard 49ers or eagles fan and they stop showing the game because your team is doing too good. If they’re going to that, then Fox games need to be streamed on some service at a reasonable price without having to worry about locaitly. Just add it into the base Hulu subscription or something. Still running ads on that anyway.
They didn’t want everyone seeing Brady getting KO’ed by a rookie. And that other one was just so America could watch Dallas choke. That one backfired lol.
i haven’t seen one of these in years, I remember on CBS the dolphins were beating the shit out of the chargers like 38-0 and swapped it with a different game
Can’t stand the NFL TV formatting. If you move out of coverage from your favorite team you will never see them play unless you buy their GD subscription. (speaking as a Vikings fan from OK)
I was enjoying the freaken game !!!!!!!! I enjoyed watching T.B. loosing !!!!!! But he's their golden boy they don't want us to see him get his a$$ handed to him right
They could just solve this by spreading out the games on all the different channels they own. Why hope the fans are interested in one game when you have in FS1 & FS2? Nfl could run every game across cable and over the air channels. The way they guess which game each city would like is infuriating. I also don’t want to watch a different game if I’ve invested 2 hours in it
I love how greedy they are with "black out games" but when it's convenient for them they have no problem showing other games that are better so people watch and they make money off commercials and endorsements.
The NFL has become a joke. I stopped watching in earnest a few years ago. I'll watch parts of games here and there but the way defenses are so hamstrung takes the fun out of watching. The roughing the passer rules make the game virtually unwatchable. Plus the sayings on the back of helmets thing turns me off.
49ers vs Buccaneers and Eagles vs Giants: *expected good games, actual blowouts* Cowboys vs Texans and Broncos vs Chiefs: *expected blowouts, actual good games*
The Eagles-Giants cut away to Cowboys-Texans was bullshit. 20 point leads can and have been blown in 4th quarters, they should've at least waited. Let's me honest they just wanted to shove the Cowboys in everyone's nose.
i don't care if the score is 10,000 to 1, do not switch games. it's one of the many super annoying money grabs the league does. why it's being done in the name of the casual fan at the detriment of someone who's actually interested in the game they're watching (and that was scheduled) is beyond me. it's one thing to change up what game is gonna be broadcast based on how the season has gone, but to do it mid game is bs.
Thank God there weren't any other games during the first half of the Vikings game yesterday. Would've been pissed to miss the GREATEST COMEBACK IN NFL HISTORY
As A Seahawks fan that game was nothing but pain 2 bad calls on the refs is one of the things that handed Carolina the win Geno also threw 2 interceptions And our Defense against the run is still Garbage We should be contending for the Win AND WERE JUST GOING LAY DOWN AND DIE AT HOME TO THE FREAKING PANTHERS!!!
