There’s a video out there that did the math, but if the falcons did literally nothing but kneel and punt, they’d have needed 1 first down for a guaranteed win, or to have forced one turnover/defensive stop.

Falcons are my favorite team. I cried during the touchdown by patriots in superbowl 51 to end the game.

Hey, another 30 point comeback was gonna happen sooner or later, couldn't have set it up better if I wrote a script for that game *and* the season leading up to it. And I'm a Bears fan. But goddamn did I feel it coming when the Colts got cold. That Colts team right now has a ridiculous ability to confuse everybody in every way possible just for a bit of chaos, sorta like that one Chargers season where they missed the playoffs despite a league leading offense and defense.

Alex Smith was one of the unluckiest QBs in history. The way they lost that game, the loss to Tennessee (where his counterpart scored on a TD pass to himself), all the OCs in San Francisco, the timing of his injury there, his injury in Washington nearly killing him...jeez.

The Colts always seemed to be the Chiefs Kryptonite during the playoffs. I've watched some painful Chiefs losses in the postseason. 1995 is the one I remember most. 13-3, number 1 defense and a pretty good offense. In fairness, that was a brutally brutally cold day and neither offense was doing any thing of note. What pained me that year was when Len Elliott missed 3 chip shot field goals. People in Kansas City never did forgive him of that and ran him out of town and the league.

As a chargers fan. I admit that game was beautiful.

That was a bad one, at least nobody really talks about it as much as the others.

Before the Texans were a team, I was a diehard Jaguars fan. LOVED them. And that millennium team is still my favorite in the history of the franchise. To this day, I maintain that the Music City Miracle was a forward pass, lol.

And to think that the Titans got there thanks to Wade Phillips (then head coach of the Buffalo Bills) not using his better QB against the Titans, and even then, they needed the Music City Miracle to win. I knew that whoever won that game would beat Indianapolis in the Divisional Round so I had expected either team to face the Jaguars in the conference Championship (because no way Miami would beat Jacksonville). In fact, once in the playoffs, the only two teams I gave a chance of beating Jacksonville that year were the Bills and the Titans (I was almost certain about the Titans, while I gave the Bills some chances but with the Jaguars having the advantage). I didn't think any of the NFC teams would be able to top the Jaguars, not even the Rams.

As a jaguars fan I will say this, Imagine going 13-3 and being a wild card teams😂

My brother was on vacation in Southern Cal and decided to take in a Rams game while he was there. They were playing the Packers, and at halftime the score was 44-7, He was a neutral observer, so had no stake in the game, but told me it "sucked" because, basically, both teams stopped playing after halftime and ran out the clock. The Rams didn't want to rub it in, and the Packers didn't want to give them any reason to start playing hard again, so they took it easy too.

In case not: Larry Csonka was supposed to take the handoff, but in the huddle said that he refused to because it was such a stupid play. Now you understand why poor Pisarcik was left handing off to the air.

The trouble with that is that Pisarcik did fall down on the previous play. If you're going to do it on the next-to-last play, why not do it on the last play?

I had Ryan Leaf, yes, Ryan Leaf on my team in the infamous KC game... Funny part: I also had Cunningham that very same season. Once he came from the bench to replace injured Brad Johnson my season was saved. Now that is a rollercoaster by epic proportions.... Needless to say the Leaf game was one of the most embarassing QB losses ever. He never recovered from that performance.

The (So Called) Terrible Towel Curse. Clinched the #1 Seed beating Pittsburgh then Keith Bullock, LenDale White, and other plays stomped the towel blew their noses with it and all. After that game we lost 8 Straight games (including playoffs and a week 17 game which meant nothing). I'm surprised we started 0-6 in 2009 to finishing 8-8 almost making it to the playoffs. Sadly every time I think of our Oilers throwbacks this game is the 1st thing that pops up in my mind

Oh yeah... Nervous playoff Peyton at its best. The usual mega collapse in the playoffs. This was the low point at that time (his last season was even worse). Guy couldnt score 18+ points in 11 (!) season ending games. With a rule backed offense that scored 30+ in most of those seasons. Guy melted under pressure like ice in the sunshine. Embarassing.

First the Pats somehow blow a 21-3 lead in the real super bowl (because the winner got to go against Rex Grossman), then he gets benched for Brock Osweiler, yes, Brock Osweiler, only to come back just in time to ride his defense’s coattails to victory. Amazing QB, no doubt, but his legacy looks a lot different if things hadn’t aligned perfectly the way they did in 2006 and 2015, and that 2013 loss would look a lot more humiliating in hindsight.

Other than the wide open Wayne TD pass there was no MVP level in that shitty SB... And the DEN 2015 SB run? Absolutely agree. Never seen such shitty play by a winning SB-QB. By far the worst ever. It needed an all time D to win it all. With a real QB they should have beaten CAR 46-10 like the 85 Bears did with a efficient passing offense and all time D... Real observers know that PM was the RS-GOAT, but got nervous in the playoffs when things got tough. A failure. Plain and simple. Not worth the worshipping when you cant excel in all situations.

At this point I have nothing but respect for Eli and that Giants team. Their D Line dominated and played like champions. Strahan ended his career with that upset. It sucks that it happened to a hometown hero turned legend on the losing end but its still an historic moment and two historic teams. I would still trade the last three for 19-0 though.
