Members of the Fox Meadow Elementary Orchestra attend one regularly scheduled 40 minute rehearsal and one 30 minute string class per six day cycle. However, students often choose to attend additional rehearsals before school in order to prepare for special festivals and programs. 70% of the students also study their instrument privately outside of school. The orchestra consists of Fox Meadow string players in grades 4 and 5.
Dr. Jill Schultz, violinist, has had extensive experience both teaching and performing. Her own studies include work with Felix Galimir, Joseph Gingold, Arnold Steinhardt, Isidore Cohen and David Nadien.
