Quattuor Aliquet is a piano quartet made up of High School Seniors from the Cleveland Institute of Music's Advanced Chamber Music and Young Artists Programs. Students in the Advanced Chamber Music Studies coach with a conservatory teacher and participate in both prep and young artist events. They are required to rehearse at least 1x per week in addition to the 10 coachings they receive each semester.
In January, 2012 the quartet won First Prize in the Junior Division of the Ohio String Teachers Association 8th Biennial Chamber Music Competition. The group is coached by Joel Smirnoff, President of the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) and former member of the Juilliard String Quartet and Sandra Shapiro, Dean of Preparatory and Continuing Education at CIM. The group's members have performed together in various ensembles since their Freshman Year. In 2009 violist, Jessi Pasternak and pianist, Arianna Korting won First Prize in the Northeast Ohio Chamber Music Invitational Competition in Solon, Ohio as members of a piano quartet. They also received the title of 2009-2010 Rembrandt Young Artists from the Rembrandt Chamber Players High School Chamber Music Competition in Chicago, IL.
