I agree mate totally,plus for the price of the wire you don't get anywhere near enough crimps,I'll stick to AFW thanks

Heat the wire red hot with a lighter before you cut it. Stops it fraying and it will go straight through the crimp

@@kevinwinter5641 done it mate, until it goes white. The crimps can still be too narrow and split the wire I've found.

@@kevinwinter5641 yeah I've done that,no chance of putting a crimp sleeve on then putting it through the crimp twice,maybe it's just me who's got a bad batch,I'm sure I've not tho,fox stuff is so cheaply made,as an aside but still with fox rage products,I bought one of their dead bait pencils,the float flew off on Sunday in the lake,reeled in and the swivels still on the line with a two inch insert,just not glues enough, unfortunately there's not much pike gear about at moment in tackle shops to choose from,I won't be buying any again,the stuff years ago was far superior

Just a guess but i think he has them 6 oz leads for when bait boating out deadbaits and the 4s for casting.

He normally uses 3.5lb tc rods bit overkill youl be fine with 3lb tc I've used them since I've been a poker never failed me yet
