Need to service your AC/HEAT HVAC box? Need to replace the heater core the RIGHT way without hacking? Need to replace the AC Evaporator. Its actually easier than you'd think. Dont be scared.
That's the best video I've ever seen for this procedure. It takes a lot of mystery out of the process and avoids a lot of unnecessary disconnects. I'm emboldened to take this on myself. The heater core on my '83 just started leaking recently and it had to be bypassed. Thanks for the helpful tips!
When I did my HVAC overhaul on my 85 Mustang Gt. The 5 bolts on the upper dash were 7mm!!! My old 86gt had simple phillips screws like your 86. Great video by the way
Ford was all over the place on fasteners. My 86 is a blend on metric and sae EVERYWHERE. One thing i like about this '79 as so far its been mostly SAE everywhere.
Woah hold up, so I need to check out the heater core in my 84 mustang. I haven’t searched anything up yet about and this video just got recommended to me.
Thanks! I was just trouble shooting a water leak from the fresh air intake hole. Removal of the fan was easy! Now I am cleaning up the fresh air inlet hole and will be seam sealing it. Mine developed a leak at the seam. 1980 Ghia (houndstooth interior car). It's my sons daily and see's rain all the time. This leak was hard to track down.
I've got an 80 Coupe NON-A/C car that the heater core just busted on and it's SOOOO much easier to replace. I've had about 20 Fox Body's over the years but they were all A/C cars. This time I'm proud to not have A/C. Lol!!! Mine doesn't have that restrictor in there so I'm very glad you showed that. Great channel brother, I just subscribed.
Thank you man! And appreciate the sub. That restrictor is important and actually keeps it from building pressure and busting. But yes, its a PITA to replace the core lol
@@HOUSEOFDULA I actually went outside and replaced it right after I left my comment yesterday. It was out in about 10 minutes!! It's literally right behind the glove box on a NON-A/C car. It pulls straight out through the glove box hole.
Very good informative video man. I'm working on a 79 that needs some dash work cause it looks bad and seems to be falling off. Will use your insight if needed thanks for showing us.
Dula, on the clamp shell where do those vacuum hoses hook up? the blue and red ones? im having a tough time finding a diagram. wish i took some pictures lol
Curious to what you find out about the hvac upgrades, I have an 81' Fairmont that I just picked up and was thinking about putting the newer fox components in it.
Thank you. Man this is something Ive wanted to do / contemplated a few times. I knows its been done. This would allow relocation of the entire HVAC panel and more modern stereo.
@@HOUSEOFDULA I need to get the SVO running first, nothing fits with the Tall Deck block… I’ll try to figure out the electronic servo blend doors in the near future. Keep up the great work 👍
@@HOUSEOFDULA no prob bro haha I can feel it people be tryna take people's hard work. I got you man keep it up I got a fox and your channel has been real helpful trying to get mine road Worthy.
