Welcome to Hand Driven!
We found this 82 Mercury Capri RS in a local Upullandpay yard. We went for parts but couldn’t dare ruin a good car, so we brought the entire car home! Join us as we dive into getting it running again after 17 years and then putting hand controls in so I can drive a stick shift again!

Oh man, I’m getting emotional over here seeing your reaction after your first spin - only a fellow car guy can appreciate what an amazing feeling that was! I dabbled with modifying a manual Subaru several years ago but with a wife and kid, time to tinker wasn’t there so I sold it. But I’m subscribed and will be following this build!! I just watched episode 4. It was first for me. Im curious as to where you are located. Im in south west Missouri. I like how the capri has the fenders pulled outward kinda like a lil widebody. It would be so kool to exaggerate that a lil bit more. Sir you are inspiring. Thanks for the pov. I needed it
