Another great FPV cam from Foxeer. But i will give the tarsier V2 a try. Just because of DVR and HD recording in one cam. Will replace the Foxeer Mix with the CADDX cam.

Almost the same. Which ever one is cheaper? I do like that there is a nano Ratel now... so back to waiting for a nano toothless now...

In a foxeer camera when you see 4:3 it means it's all ready on 4:3 ? Or means you are on 9:16 and you want to change to 4:3?

i really wanted to see this at night... i heard this was supposed to be the 'micro CAT' -- which is a true night camera.. i was really hoping this would be a good micro night cam alternative to the fullsize.

Micro Eagle is still the best all around camera for multi lighting conditions. The sensor on the Micro Eagle is huge by comparison. Not sure about the all weather though.

Al try to get the nano toothless 2 whenever you can. Same size sensor on a nano cam. Should be interesting. I think the image on the nano is the exact same tho. But still a 1/2 sensor in a nano cam should be great for image quality.

Is it possible that the camera itself is using the CMOS as a light level sensor and this makes it set at “sunset?” What is ambient light level or color temp was higher? Would that automatically change to daylight?

Wow this camera looks amazing... Hard to beat the Ratel for price though. Although i do have one Ratel that feels blurry for some reason and Im having a hard time figuring out why..

Ratel is definitely interesting camera. I'm still not convinced they got good quality control and durability as Foxeer and Runcam. I have all my foxeer/runcam cameras from few years back, and three Caddx are dead one way or another.

Clean lens inside, maybe even clean the sensor if its dirty

@@justfpv1432 caddx need to have better quality control. Why I never need to clean lenses or sensor on any on my runcam/foxeer cameras? I'm not ever mentioned that time when caddx use plastic lens on SDR2 and it's become blurry in a few weeks.

@@jackfpv8904 I actually really like caddx cameras, in fact from all the ones I've tried the caddx ratel is my favorite! Also I don't have any problems with it so maybe you just have bad luck with ratel cameras.

Im having problem with the toothless . Was working fine, then the screen went back. When i hooked it up to another quad it works fine. I got a new fc stack and it still has a black screen. Idk whats up with it

Sorry, not sure... it might be a power issue with your setup? The camera might have a defect. I would contact Foxeer.

the ratel has 16-9 native aspect when you order the 1.66mm lens, and i think the 2.1 is 4-3 native

Why do they put that 5 pin connector on the back instead a 3/2? As a newbee I have never figured out how to change settings using the supplied dogle. Will stick to Runcam or Cadxx.

Falkor 2 arty image at Sunny day, Latency normal~ Toothless nature image at all environment including night time~ lower latency, Razer, good image day and low light, budget cam!

Like the foxeer alot. But. When you was outside at the start and was going up and down with it, looked like a big fish bowl and that I do not like. The foxeer nano dont have that with the 1.8 lens...I was going to get the 1.7m lens and this makes me not want to now

this lens makes FOV-H 145 degrees, so fisheye is normal. You could try narrow lens~ :)

@@foxeer1489 I like the 1.8 that comes with the nano, it defantly is one of the. Est cams for clarity. How would I get a new lock ring tho? My one tp3 was in a crash and it broken. Had to use glue to keep the cam in focus

I don't think the Ratel uses anywhere near the full chip surface. I have been using Micro Eagles since launch and now have a Ratel the 1.66MM lens version on one craft. So both cams with 1/1.8 16:9 sensors set to 4/3 If I put the Eagle lens on the Ratel I get a very narrow view. If the sensor is the same so should the view be unless only partially using the Ratel sensor. I only went to the Ratel because the Eagle is to over edgy with the Orqas the Ratel is better. But I am now waiting on a Toothless to arrive to test and yes as it's a native 4:3 1/2 chip the usable area will be bigger.

@@AlbertKimTV Like both the Micro Eagle and the Ratel list a 16:9 1/1.8 chip and give different angle of view with the same lens fitted. I have found easily the 1/2 chip is 6.4x4.8mm and 8mm diagonal. but finding specs for 16:9 1/1.8 is well almost like it doesn't exist most searches result in pictures of the two mentioned FPV cams with them fitted. But given the diagonal is 9MM and playing with the 1/2 chip dimensions if extended to 16:9 width gives around 9MM dia also. So it appears that if flying 4:3 it will match the sensor area of the 1/1.8 in the eagle. I will be testing all with the Eagle lens as this is definitely a 1/1.8 lens so can cover all the sensors fully and as mentioned before the Ratel is effectively digitally zoomed and not using nearly the full chip real-estate.
