@@INFJ-ThaneTr nevermind you comparing a Indie dev to fuckin Blizzard (says more about Diablo than Foxhole) I have yet to find a game like Foxhole but grind fest in a genre by itself already
I'm pretty sad i actually had no idea about most of these for all these years BUT- You're wrong about only 2 movie easter eggs, there's a recreation of Helm Deep from Lord of the Rings in Acrithia east of Patridia
the frostmarch town. reminds me of stores from medieval time of "entrepreneurs" building cities out in practical nowhere overnight just so that they can set up a tollgate and make some quick money. because some stupid reason if you brave enouth and of the right cast you can set up a town Tollgate on a crossroad that only have 1 building at it. because thats enouth to qualify for the tollgate. Might add that those "entrepreneurs" only did the effort and paperwork because they heard about some massive festival going on in a "nearby" city and thoes one of the few times there would be a carp-load of people traveling from one place and especially in there case would pass by said crossroad in short order and a large amount.
Thanks for taking your time and making the vids about the actual game lore, this has literally inspired me to check, buy and play the game a lot since then - there is so much stuff in there aside from funny-sounding Italian artillery crews and extra loud tanks battles. A soul of the game, perhaps.
In fisherman's row north of partisan island at the border to oarbreaker there is a house on the small hill west of the road with an easter egg to pet cemetery
you actually MISSED a movie related easter egg. you can't find it in game, and I believe it is used to find errors in the UI of the game. if you use UE viewer to go into the game's texture files and navigate to Content > Textures > UI > EditorsIcons > Cloth.uasset...there is a picture of frodo baggins in the files!
Most people dont get it but its not really an easter egg, the colonial fist represents communism. What is an easter egg is they put in a communist power fist animation its like 6 or something. Wardens do it too, its not their logo.
Actually, the Colonials represent more a Rome-like republic, which is expansionnist and militarist, but they don't really make anything that can be "communist".
