Only thing that could make this neither is if it had a folding hinged barrel quick lock. I’d be insane if it had that because if they offered other barrels in 300 blackout, you could just do a fast swap then fold. I’ve always wanted to see an AR be able to be folded in 2 locations. Have the barrel fold to the right and the stock fold to the left to minimize the footprint for a backpack.
I got the Brownells exclusive Zhukov FM-15 and was really impressed. It's a nice rifle. I liked it so much, I wound up buying their FM-9 PCC and it's now my go-to for USPSA "cheater stick" division...
Nice presentation. I have 3 complete arms from FMP. A 16" 9mm, a 12.5" 223 that uses AR mags, and a 9"(?) 223 that uses AK magazines. The 223 both have side folding braces. I'm going to look to see if they offer a 300BO shorty upper. I'd really like it for 300. I haven't had any issues, but mine have less than 1000 rounds through them. I've seen videos with the owner describing the design that went into the product to make it better. Ive also seen videos of parts improperly installed, takedown issues and breakages. So mine have low round counts. I really like the design and concept. I want to be able to trust that it's reliable for whatever comes.
I like it. I have their 16" 9mm upper and it's excellent but this seems ever better. The barrel flats and the interface with the gas block and barrel nut are really impressive.
Looks familiar, have the 13.9" fixed gas with a Nox P&W, and the same MI/MFT folding stock setup. Very happy with the accuracy, quality, and surprisingly the light weight. Dave, talk to the FM guys and have them get some of the Paratrooper folding charging handles out to their vendor partners. :) (FM doesn't take credit cards, need check or money order, snail mail).
Dave, thank you for posting this review. They make some pretty interesting products. Can you do a review of "Tactical Guitar" Cases? These seem like a good way to transport long guns without upsetting the safety Karens of the world....
