When i had first heard this song featuring ed it was a time in my life where i had just dropped out of school, i didn’t wanna study and no one would give me a job. It was so lonely and isolating. It was such a rough patch but finding this song was a form of healing. It reminded me that times are tough for now but it will get better, it reminded me i had plenty to live for even if i felt like there wasn’t. Hearing it redone adding Keith and Elton to track made it so special. I have many guiding lights in my life and this song helps me remember that.

Today is the second anniversary of my dad passing out. I came across this song just last week and today it helped me reconnect with my dad on a level I haven't felt since the year he died. The song literally guided* me to the memory of my dad and how much it felt like home sitting next to him in our little apartment. The interconnectivity of our experience as humans is truly beautiful. It's because of this song, playing in the background on CW's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, that I discovered Foy and he led me to Ed. That's a decade or so ago! In her various looks here, she reminds me of a dear friend that passed long ago (albeit Anna Sophia is younger) and especially in the moments where she is hauntingly looking straight into the camera, it feels like my friend's essence is again piercing me.
