A Kickstarter by one of the co-founders of the Impossible project was funded last year to bring back pack film. It's called ONE INSTANT and is supposed to come out later this year (2019). Each pack will cost $33 and contain 3 sheets.
Glad to finally see another video! Looks like a fun camera, but looks like a HEAVY camera. Really neat that it can capture four images on one piece of film.
Wow guys welcome back! I shocked by quality and smooth flash light of this camera! Damn my country is a deadend for this films and cameras,i hope some day have one of this...joey this video is so much fun and i love it very much especially poses, music sync, bear, guys and your creativity 🤚🤚🤚
It was a crazy fun episode dudes mainly because I didn't expect much from that camera, now that I'm looking at it you guys had more fun with it than if it was a Nikon d850 and that's what's up. With all the diy things catching on there should be a way for folks to make their own Polaroid film
Y-effin'-AY!! The camera is awesome, the photos are great... So cool to see you again. About the FP100 there's a project somewhere to revive packfilm lead by Mr Impossible/Polaroid himself. So fingers crossed.
Awesome! I only have the two lens version of this camera. The SX-2 model. I was surprised there were still a couple shots still left in that camera and the thing actually made an image (though not the greatest looking one due to the long expired 669 Film left in the camera for more than two decades.
Good to see you guys again. Polaroid Originals has come out with the statement that it's not viable for them to develop packfilm at this point, so for the foreseeable future they're out of the running. But a few independent film makers and labs have expressed great interest in engineering and building their own machines to once again produce packfilm. So it may not be over with just yet. Keep up the videos and the Instagram feeds guys! I'm still trying to get rid of the Nikon and Canon Viewfinders and the koni omega lens. - Shane
Loving the mini blooper-esque segment at the end 😂 Quality content from ya'll as always. Oh and that camera looks like so much fun to shoot with. Keen to see the bleached negative vid!
Man, imagine all analog photography youtubers make packfilm videos for a week? Fuji will immediately announce the machines are back from the dead and cranking out moar packfilm, right? Right? Ok probably not... :/
Not a bad idea! I'll probably be documenting the rest of the packs I own here on RU-vid, and Derek has a bunch left as well, so hopefully the film will live on forever via our videos if no one ends up bringing it back...
Dude! Awesome vid! Totally Dope images! 🤙🏾🤙🏾📷🎞that is a primo camera too! I got two other models(I believe older that yours) that have removable film backs and I’m hoping someone makes one for Fuji Intax film some time soon.
Did you guys have to cover the lenses you don't want exposed. to get the different exposures on the same pack or does the camera allow you to you to do that? I have a different model. it seems to let me chose how many frames to use but the shutters release simultaneously.
When you took out this camera, I was thinking... "what the fuck is this ??? " but when you was say it is Polaroid... I was start think " Hey this can be interesting... because this box looks funny, and it's good to start conversation on the street when you make photos there :)) Cool camera . Hey I hope you are in Steemit also ... if not then go and look... it can help you a lot, me it helps lot when i make photos.
It's definitely a good conversation starter :) I did make a steemit acct a while ago, but not sure what to make of it... Will give it another go one of these days
Cool... just when you make it .. know... just now it takes 3 or 4 week when you get in... but it work very good... lot who go in there they get more back then here . And they have cool Apps also for videos.
amazing images from a camera you wouldnt expect! how about fuji put some of that instax money back into r&d for some new pack films!!?? lol i can dream
“Film is getting too expensive “ damn right it is. I’ve just about had enough of film. I’ve been a “shoot film” nut for over 30 years, but now I’m sick of it. Too expensive to buy, too expensive to process, too long to wait for the end results. I’ve just sold half a fridge load of film and a collection of about 100 quality film cameras. I’ve amassed over £10K ($14K), I mean, f*#k me, I didn’t think I had gear worth so much that I’ve been collecting over the last 10 years. Finally glad that I’ve let go of it all. I’ve only kept one camera, a Canon Elan 7E with 50mm lens and a small zoom. I’ll stick to my pro Nikon DSLR gear and my xpro2. Gonna travel the world with the money, and maybe buy a be-atch or two on the way while traveling.
or is the high price due to more demand? I've been noticing a huge influx of new film shooters over the last 2-3 years. I think were on the up and up here!
Indiequas well, they are definitely pricing me out. Not that I can’t afford it, it’s just that I can’t justify it any longer, just like I couldn’t justify having such a big collection of really nice top end film cameras and lenses, so I’ve sold the lot. I’ve kept one film camera and I’ll use it as a treat every now and again, but in general, I’ve fallen out of love with film.
@@AwesomeCameras you aren't wrong but it depends on where your demand curve is at and why people are shooting. Most people I know that shoot film do it once as a novelty. So if they are raising the price for one time shooters that will push recreational to other markets. And unfortunately digital is catching up to even medium format. Now the film that is really growing is Instax and they don't even call it film they call it like a social experience or something. If however you are 100% right that is even scarier as there are only a few film companies left meaning a perfect sort-of-monopolistic market scenario.
Thanks for that video guys, super creative and damn my G.A.S. is kicking in on wanting one of those camera. Thanks :) . (hope this is ok to link) Also for those wanting to help save pack film please check out: savepackfilm.supersense.com/
