Wow, just wow. The texturing and model work is extradinary. I look forward to your future releases. The only suggestions I can think of here are 1. Turn motion blur off in future videos for better clarity. 2. That electrical unit on a platform so close to the ocean seems questionable; but what do I know!
That's right!! We actually built this and offer it to developers to use in their games. Body Cam used this Oil Rig for the game and we're very happy to see everyone enjoying it!!
So I think the asset library is really nice. That said, would you consider putting these in smaller sets? The dollar value is certainly fair, but it’s a bit high for a hobbyist such as myself to buy all at once. If you would be able to create some smaller packs I would absolutely buy many of these assets. I think the textures are superior to others I’ve seen. Even if they were in $25 increments, I would love to buy a few.
That motion blur is set far too high it is painful, should really have it disabled. Instead of a first person view, I'd set up a cinematic camera to go through the areas instead. That said, great work on this - looks great!
Totally understandable. We have been working on a full length cinematic trailer already, but it takes time to show off all of the spaces we want to share, because of the size of this Oil Rig. It will be available soon and this FPS video is only a stand in for people to view until it is ready. Thanks for your patience!
This is my little suggestion: turn on LOD group and Nanite for the mesh, which will greatly improve the performance. Creating LOD groups is a very important step in UE, which can play a very important role in optimizing the scene. You can use the "Bulk Edit via Property Matrix editor " function to batch process them, which is very convenient.
