Wow when you said "If you didn't notice I'm a small channel and can't afford a brand new set" I was utterly shocked. The video simply shouts "Quality". Instant sub.
power cable collides with cpu cooler(Noctua NH-L12S or thermalright axp120 x67 or similar type), because the wrong mb were used. In amd(am4/5) platform, NO gigabyte, NO msi, cpu's central location on these two mbs will be about 1cm higher than others and will bring another problem if using any cpu cooler that needs to do something about the back side(such as change backplat or need to screw on mb's back), due to 1cm higher, this case's frame will block 2 screw holes a bit(esp in amd platform), will have to remove Mb from this case b4 putting cpu cooler on(others no need to remove mb from this case when putting on or changing cpu cooler). But in the other hand, asrock(am4/5) and asus(am4/5) and intel platform(in any brands' including gigabyte and msi) no such problem. BTW, cpu's central location means: when facing the Mb, rams on the right side, pcie/gpu slot below, io at the left side, i have the same case and i changed mbs a lot then found out this problem......🤣😂😅
@@Z3boy as i said, NO gigabyte NO msi in amd(am4/5) platform in this case when using Noctua NH-L12S or thermalright axp120-x67, but, asrock(am4/5) and asus(am4/5) and any brands in intel platform are fine, or use other smaller cpu cooler such as: Noctua L9-65 or thermalright axp90-x36/47/53, any brands/platforms will be fine too.
Do NOT replicate the intel build that is shown in the description. The VRM heatsink on the Gigabyte motherboard is way too tall for the noctua l12s or even the l12 ghost without some weird modification. Had to return the motherboard and get something with a better clearance. I should've done more research to see if it was all compatible, especially since it wasnt shown in the video.
Wasn't a fan of any of the other MOBOs out there for the intel, ended up switching to a 7800X3D and an Asrock B650I Lightning. Everything fit perfectly.
Just bought this case to fit my 3090 fe into it, pairing it with a B550I AORUS board and a R7 5700x and 64gb ram with Thermalright AXP120-X67. Parts coming tomorrow, hope it all fits
Honestly I have a very similar build, but I’m with a 5900x paired up with the mini dtx x570 board from asus. You may want to put slim fans on the gpu side for less turbulence but still keeping temps low cos without fans my 3090 could get to 78 degrees under load
I have the the Defined Mini C and I'm looking at upgrading to something smaller. I appreciate you adding the additional options, giving us some room to play around with. Subbed.
In this build you are absolutely gonna want a k just for the flexibility in bringing those CPU temps down. I9 is gonna throttle on this cooler under load.
@@Agent_Clarki disagree The 14900 is capped at 65w and way easier to manage temps, most likely it wont even get hot The 14900K would heat up fast and would need an AIO
Great video! Curious to know your thoughts on the NCORE 100 MAX. Think it would be the same price for me to move my 3070 and 10400F into a Fractal Terra+cooling+PSU.
Looks interesting but I'm personally not a big fan of the tall ITX cases - Coolermaster knocked it out of the park with the NR200 so I imagine the building experience would be really good
I think the only way you could do that with an ITX PC is to use a PCIe to NVME adapter, but then you won't be able to have a graphics card unfortunately
I used standard corsair vengeance LPX DDR4 RAM which was fine, not sure if it's technically considered low profile or not - I think anything taller than that (like the RGB RAM kits) would be too tall
That setup isn’t gonna run 4K at 60 FPS unless you go for low or mid graphics settings and skip newer AAA titles. I had a 3080 and a 5800X, and even that setup struggled with 4K at 60 FPS in newer games and that was an standard case with proper AIO and case fans.
Wish I’d subscribed earlier! Picked up the case a couple of weeks ago with the i5 12400, asus b760 and rx6600. More of a hybrid, htpc/occasional gaming build. Got the nh-l9x65, hoping the temps will be ok.
