This is a fracture mechanics test in CT specimen. Elastic compliance method was used. You can see in the beginning the crack size check very quickly, and then the subsequent unload and reload.
The material is an ASTM a572 Gr 50 and the specimen dimensions are W=40, B=20.
This test was done in "LaMef" laboratory (Laboratorio de Mecânica da Fratura) that belongs to the Material and Metallurgical department in UFRJ (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro).
