This video was such an eye opener. Also, I really liked the way you dealt with other creators and their opinions with such respect and compassion. You deserve more subscribers!!
A well rounded video and just what I needed as I was sceptical about the credibility of IFRA certification, now I feel rather secure in investing on products with that label. I can totally understand observer's bias when it comes to facts about skincare. Dr. Dray deals with a considerable amount of patients with contact dermatitis while other derms deal with issues specific to skin cancer and are comfortable using products that have fragrance. Hyram on the other hand has reactive skin type, he even mentioned experiencing mild irritation to wind or water in general. It really depends on your skin type, hence I love Cassandra Bankson as she and I have similar skin types (oily, acne-prone and relatively resilient) so her recommendations would suit me. Im happy to have you on youtube. I felt same when I heard luke coutinho... You both are brilliant... Explain everything with scientific effects and you guys are having so much knowledge.... Im your fan...
Thanks and welcome, Vaishali :) Thank you for sharing and being so encouraging. Its so important to have encouragement from the community as all the effort makes sense and I go to bed happy for having being able to make some difference towards good in the world :) . Cheers to healthy skin and hair 🙂
Fragrances or generally strong scents, even unpleasant ones, is a migraine trigger for me. I had to skip out on many good products and diy-ing . I will definitely look for ifra certification
Really appreciate ur work.. It really gave me the clear idea about everything.. I too want to be fragrance free.. Coz of my oily acne prone skin.. M 27 and still getting acne and it disturbs me a lot mentally.. Can u suggest some moisturizer after applying AHA Or BHA serum like from minimalist.. I M currently using suganda white lotus moisturizer which has niacinamide in it.. So M confused whether can i apply it after exfoliating serums or not!!
I had a point like I have been using fragrance in my products for 23 years of life and I like it and not have seen any problem then why is everyone saying that fragrance is bad
cause its a point of view! Dont worry about it..i have been frag free and now I am alllll frag and my skin could not have been better. Fragrances can be irritating to some people just like eating fatty foods gives some people heart issues- SOME people- not everyone! Sooo...enjoy! ;)
@@RubinaSkincare you have been doing great work. you're so underrated, the number of views on you such information packed video is just unfair! You answer the question that nobody does like what percentage of vit c is for what concern, at what age what ingredients should be used and many many more. I hope you keep doing great work and get a cult following. If you're reading this I hope this makes your day. Now I'm going to be a little selfish and would ask you if you could make 10% lactic acid minimalist review because there are just very less RU-vidrs whose recommendation we can actually trust
I have heard of this objection from a few people but I have found no scientific paper or research that supports this ... I had been frag free for 6 years and then moved back to frag for the last 2 or so years and I find absolutely no deterioration in my skin. I come from the belief that Frag should be a concern if its origins are suspect or if someone is more sensitive to developing a reaction..and I base this on my skincare journey and my aunts and grandmas skincare products. The evidence I see with respect to their skin makes me believe in my skincare choices. I follow board certified dermatologist Dr Dray who says that yes frags can be irritating but not for everyone. And derms have to warn on frag use just like a cardiologist would warn someone for eating fats- but not all fats are made equal and not everyone who eats fats get a heart disease. I love a good healthy debate and would be awesome if you could share some scientific data that points to the fact that all fragrances are causative issues for pigmentation and irritation. Or ask Dr V for it.. i have aksed a couple of times but got nothing back... @@RubinaSkincare Dr V gives this same reasons why fragrance is not good for everyone. As mentioned in the post fragrance effect will not be seen immediately. www.paulaschoice.com/expert-advice/skincare-advice/sensitive-skin/why-fragrance-free-products-are-best-for-everyone.html. As you said will check if there are more scientific evidence than this and will let you know.
@@chindumathew7310 awesome please do share. Honestly I just believe its got a. "merry go around effect" one says, another quotes, another quotes, and voila we have an unsubstantiated fact. Quite like how clean beauty annihilated parabens etc which are now back in favour. Everything has the potential to do harm, from excessive water to excessive radiation - the dose is the poison. PS: excessive radiation happens with too many x rays or exposure.
@@chindumathew7310 Paulas choice too comes without any data research. I love using paulas choice but not because these are frag free! in fact the moment i find a cheaper replacement for her products I switch.
