Oh how I miss these reviews... Edit: White plastic (from what I've heard) apparently isn't as strong as the other colors of plastic, so it might not be as *SOLID* as Gourai's black joints

No..kotobukiya uses abs on hres's joints like the other kits that is why they give an extra runner X which is made up of POM on their reissues to address the joint breakage on the wrist...sadly though i think ater also suffers from absXpom wrist joint like innocentia..or i guess she is still pure abs...kotobukiya will never learn..even their POM joints broke on my new jinrai..it is the design thats the problem...i mean figma can do it, shf can do it and most specially AZONE's assault lily did it despite having pegs as thin as 1mm...

kasmichan here...yes inno can handle those issues better IN her flesh tone hands..the black wrist is still abs and the black hands are the same as those in materia that easily breaks the wrist joint.. actually the grooves on the wrist joint design and the inside of the hands are the main problem..that is why I now fill those parts of the joint so it'll be a one solid peg and it's ok now..

so differences between Bandai & Kotobukiya mecha girl kits: - Bandai (i.e. Super Fumina) = sturdier plastic quality, simple gimmicks, bizarre design choices, too much need the use stickers especially for the eyes & faces, limited color separation. -Kotobukiya (F.A. Girls) = weak brittle plastic quality, complex gimmicks, natural design choices, pre-painted & decal applied for the eyes & faces, better color separation.

Pretty sure "Hrsvelgr" is Scandinavian for "fuck swivels." As for the snapped pegs, that's a damn tragedy and my heart goes out to ya. Investing in a pin vise tool might be a very good idea for that, and for many more reasons.

I've handled other Kotobukiya kits from the Super Robot Wars line, and I can confirm that they are a hassle and a half: great sculpt and design, lots of accessories, but absolute *hell* to do anything with. The Fairlion needs a stand so badly, it COMES with one--and making one of the sets of hands was just impossible for me (the THUMB was a separate part!!!). The Valsione looks *amazing*, and the joints all feel great, but in its default mode it WILL not stand up unless it is stock still. Posing either of these toys is a pipe dream, and they can't even hold their weapons right. Kotobukiya makes bad model kits, in my experience--"Good looking, but cannot be played with" seems to be their mission statement, and I don't like that at all.

I love the F.A. Girls line! I have Hresvelgr-Ater as well, and mine's nowhere near as fragile as yours.... I haven't even broken a wrist peg. And I have to say, when you put the effort in to paint them, they look FANTASTIC. There's so much detail in their sculpts that even just a little paint to highlight a couple features can make a big difference.

On the Fragility of the kit, I’m not sure if it’s Koto in general. I own their kit of the Metal gear Rex, and sure, it has issues standing, but that’s more due to the wonky design. The plastic is really solid and nothing’s broken in the few years I’ve had it

Yep. This is was the first ever model kit that I've ever built (Other than maybe some gundam panda). It was a beast and I guess by Jobby's standards means that I'm at a decent level model kit maker since I completed her. Have not run into the broken joint problems but I guess I haven't played with her enough.

Kotobukiya's platistics are indeed very fragile. Once several plastic pieces "disintegrated" right after I applied Mr. Color Thinner on them. Never happened to Bandai's kits.

Because i only see unoriginal jokes on this coments i going to give some toughts on yhe toy and her character on the anime because yes, i saw the anime. The kit looks great(i will leave those words for your imagination) shure there is a loot of pices but the final product its regardles. Im not in the plastic modelkit jobby but this maybe introduce me to it. And speaking about her on the anime......she feels like a bitch but at the same time no. But at the end shes a really good character.

This is actually a sister model to the Hresvelgr, both are pretty much the same except for the weapons, If you would like to start and get a frame arms girls, i recommend going for anything released post jinrai, you'll get more solid kids that way. I personally don't recommend the Gourai and Stylet unless you also get an Innocentia body to replace the original Gourai and Stylet body.

Hope we do get a season 2. They teased Innocentia at the end, and after getting her kit, she may actually be my favorite of the bunch, even with the lack of weapons. All personality problems with Hres could be easily fixed with a reboot. Simply plug and unplug the charger repeatedly. Also known as charger punishment...

They had a survey on whether people wanted a season 2 or not. I may have taken it twice...I do think Gourai x Stylet could happen, but with Jyuuden-kun, it could be a love triangle. Maybe.
