Baladi is a more folksy version of the basic Maqsoum, characterized by the familiar two Doums at the beginning of the rhythm. Usually played fast /upbeat.

About:
Saidi is another rhythm of the Maqsoum family, recognized by doubling the middle Doum. It has a different flavor of fill and accent and is popular in upper Egypt . Usually played fast /upbeat.
