Hi friends m Henrietta, New York. I’m home from a severe medical crisis and having your class really helps me to keep direction in my days. We finally have sunshine here and a break from the very cold weather. Thank you so much for your fun and happy classes. I really needed help in considering mounting my little cut up abstracts. They are so cheerful and happy. Thank you so very much.

I love your frames. New ideas for framing are welcome. I donate my art to charity and I think these framed works would sell.

And I love the overall tutorial for painting the mat boards, a little extra for customers and for the pieces themselves. Beautiful!

Wow, I never thought to color the bevel, such a great tip!

Brilliant! I particularly liked the smaller pieces where there was such contrast between the decorated mount and the negative spaces inside it. Another excellent lesson, thanks 😊

Well we had snow two days ago 😂. Finally someone else who paints mounts!!! I've been doing this for years, just for myself, when I reused an old frame or I was changing the picture. Way back when you used to have to order your mounts custom and double mounts which I like would cost a fortune. Most of my frames were 16 by 20 or 18 by 24 inches at the time. My philosophy has always been when in doubt, hold it down and paint it! I even painted a loveseat once as a last resort, it looked good for another 10 years. 😂

Oh Nicole, what a great comment! :) You've really made me giggle... It's my philosophy too... it it doesn't move, paint it. :) xx

Although I found it at times cloudy, the results are amazing! The idea to decorate the mount is fascinating. Thanks.

I think when I start to ask myself, should I stop? the answer is usually (always…) Yes. Even if for only a short time. Also when I find myself bored or really frustrated or no longer curious “what if?”

Love watching you work and your enthusiasm, your "let's try this" attitude! I learned early on that I love white or cream relief around the borders of busy pieces, similar to when you remove the tape from a substrate so the smaller collages were more my preference. That said, I also love to experience an artists collection of presentation craziness. I can appreciate the effort, the beauty and the juxtaposition, even if it's not something I could live with. Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder -- giving artists free range to experiment, push the limits, put it out there and witness the the partnership between an enthusiast and a piece, even if it's not our taste. ❤❤❤
